  • I had a CPP Identity Fraud Protection policy from 2006 to 2011 when I cancelled it. I reckon It cost me around £400 for the 6 years it was in force. I didn't get a letter form CPP so I phoned them. After 25 minutes hanging on, I got to speak to someone who had details of the policy, but said I didn't get a letter as it the policy was provided through a Morgan Stanley credit card which I no longer have. I can't remember how it was sold to me, but they certainly said I needed it...! If CPP are 'ducking out', do I have redress with anyone else in the Banking fraternity..? What about the Financial Ombudsman - is it worth a try..?
    Thanks,
    BernieHarold

    What about the Financial Ombudsman
    You can't approach the Ombudsman until you've given the card provider a chance to consider any complaint you might have;
    Proceed as if you were mis-sold prior to 2005

    Moneyineptitude - I assume that English law applies and it can be hand posted, that being the case, anyone in Norfolk that fancies delivering a letter could make a killing!

    Well, depending on how much you stand to gain, it might be worth taking some time off and travelling there yourself! LOL ;)
  • I'm a hop and skip from Wymondham but how do you find a PO Box ?
    Am waiting on the phone again .Twenty mins so far.
    Moneyineptitude , why so negative. ?
  • Ive had the 'protection' since the early 90s , is there any other way to proceed.? I understand that prior to 2005 it was not regulated. My protection started out as Sentinel I think.

    Success - call answered after 40 minutes - they found my details and are posting out the form..... - ill believe it when I see it - they did give me my SOA number though so i'm not sure why I cant use that on a standard form downloadable from somewhere - or do they come personalised?
