29 minutes and hold and then the "waiting" music stopped. Gave it another 10 minutes of silence after that and gave up. I'm expecting they're going to be very busy today.0

After getting a duplicate form and returning it I found the original one. Would it be worth sending this one by recorded delivery?0 -
Hi,
I just realised this morning that i am entitled for compensation and that i threw away the letter thinking it was another thing related to PPI. I called the numbers provided on the website to request for another form and i have been on hold for an hour. Clearly no one wants to pick up the phone being so close to the deadline. I don't have the unique reference number anymore so i cannot request a form via their website, i must speak to them.
What shall i do?0 -
Gtec and welshblackhorse I really wish you luck sorting it out, you must be soooo annoyed being cut off, especially after so long on the phone and then a fault on the line!! Surely they should extend the scheme. Like I said earlier, why should PPI get to go on for years on end and not CPP. BTW I did press 2 as the option to speak about anything else, not option 1 to request new forms - worth a try when the lines are working, they're probably all the same people. I don't know if it made any difference with it only being 53 mins.
There's no email address to contact the CPP readdress scheme either so I have no idea how anyone is supposed to complain. Maybe we should inundate them with postal complaints?!
Dillums - I would try calling them again and blag it by saying you've been advised to get the forms off them and send them in and it'll get sorted when they process it, I have a feeling the person who advised you isn't giving you the correct information.
Good luck everyone, keep us posted.0 -

There is so far no indication that it will be extended.tabitha1975 wrote: »why should PPI get to go on for years on end and not CPP
The company have set aside enough money to repay everyone who might complain. They wrote to everyone who might be affected. They've also agreed the timescale for the Refund Scheme to operate with the regulator.0 -
Moneyineptitude it's MSE that has written to the FCA to ask for it to be extended, see the article by Amy Ellis on 19th August on MSE (won't let me post the link here)
No there isn't any indication there is, but there was no initial indication they were going to compensate anyone and they are. So let's just see.
And why be so negative about the forms not being posted to us or our ability to send them back in time? Negativity never gets us anywhere in life, I'm open to the possibility that as it's only Wednesday there is time to get it back to them on Friday to arrive on Saturday. Let's just see what happens rather than slating the whole idea, no offence
Good luck to anyone who is trying to get it sorted0 -

If the scheme is extended then you'll have an extra opportunity anyhow.tabitha1975 wrote: »And why be so negative about the forms not being posted to us or our ability to send them back in time?
If you send the form back first class post today (27 August) and get proof of posting (free from the Post Office) FOS will, if necessary accept that as confirmation of receipt two working days later (i.e. 29 August).
Send it on 28 August it will be deemed to arrive on 1 September (because weekends are not working days) and thus too late.
Anyone requesting a form today cannot possibly return it in time for the 30th August.
So, I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic.0
