Hello
I has a CPP card protection policy from 1999 and I cancelled it in 2013.
I called the help line. They said I needed to speak to Creation Financial Services as that is who I took it out with at the time.
I called them, they passed me on Santander as they said I had it through an Asda Credit Card. Santander can not find me on there system as I don't know my card number from 1999 and can't find me through my address or name.
Has anyone any advice as to where to go now?
Many thanks0 -
Thank you Money Saving Expert - used your template and received a cheque for £416.43.0

Already had cheque from CPP for claim for 2005 - 2012 - I used the advice from money saving expert to fill in claim forms and had no problems. Wrote to HSBC back in September 2013 to ask for premiums for 1995 - 2005 back. Had final letter from HSBC rejecting my claim in November 2013 so complained to the Financial Ombudsman straight away using the template letter from moneysavingexpert.
Have just received letter from Ombudsman saying they have not yet investigated my complaint but that HSBC have offered to pay premiums in full plus the 8% interest and all I have to do is sign a settlement form and send it back. Not had the money yet but just wanted to let others know that it might take a long time but it is worth complaining to the Ombudsman.0 -

Regardless, it's a win for you.0 -

I contacted the CPP number this afternoon. Took about 20 minutes on hold, but the lady I eventually spoke to was very helpful. She took all my updated address details (my policy was taken out from my old address), and said she'd pop a new form in the post. She said it's 1st class, so it should be here tomorrow or Thursday.
She also told me that the policy was with Barclaycard, and that when filling in the form just be honest and say what I know but don't worry about filling in policy number details. I'll just do what she says, then stick it in the post recorded delivery to hopefully guarantee it gets to them by Saturday.
Fingers crossed0 -
New to Forum! Held CPP policy from 1993 to 2011. They made contact with me and I have just received £118 compensation, but only covering from 2005 to 2011, so have lost 12 YEARS WORTH OF PAYMENTS. If it was wrongly sold in 2005 surely it must have been wrongly sold in 1993? Just an observation!!!0

Good news all round. Do you have to specifically reference Barclaycard on your form?0 -
I would like to say a big thank you for giving me the help to claim from cpp. I had two letter but didn't think it was worth the bother, then read your site and thought I would give it a go. I've received two cheques, this has helped so much because earlier this year I had major surgery and was off work, so this money came at a good time. Again thank you.0
