Bad News Guys Orange to start changing 07744 and 07755

Hello Everyone,
This is just untolerable! I've 3 contracts, the only reason I bought them is to call 07744 nos. So everybody do a compaint to Orange. Do not keep quite. If they don't agree to change their terms for existing customers then we'll take them :money: to watchdog, oftel etc.
The terms should be same as before for existing customers in their contract and paying loads of money.
Do a written complaint to:

Anecdotal evidence suggests that if you complain to the Executive Office they get on the case pretty quickly and sort everything out for you.....

It's your money and they just can't stop you to make use of it.0 -
Could anyone with good knowledge of legal matters please write a template complaint letter so that we can follow suit. Hopefully we could get to some critical mass so that a way out could be attained.

The people in Customer Service cant release you from contract they will just stick to party line.
If you are going to get out of the contract you must put your request for them to release you from the contract without penalty in writing, asap, preferably for your sake send by proof of delivery mail service.
Write to Orange Personal Communications Services Limited, St James Court, Great Park Road, Almondsbury Park, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS32 4QJ.
The grounds for your request are that they have introduced mandatory (compulsory )charges for 07744/07755 which did not exist before, which will result
in an excessive increase in charges to you.0 -
Hi to everyone.
I have been in touch with orange people and as everybody knows thay tell different stories.
Now coming to the point , i asked them to check and they confirmed me that i haven't been charged for the calls which i made on friday and saturday.
On saturday i just made calls to check if i will be charged for them or not.
And i haven't been charged yet.
I upgraded my contract in last year but got a text.
They say that they will have an explanation on Monday regarding their T & C's saying all about the dates and the animal packages.
I have checked with so many CSR's regarding my unbilled charges and i was confirmed that i wasn't charged for the calls which i made on friday and saturday as well.
So keep the fingers crossed and you try the same thing.
Just make a call for a minute and ring them next day , they will let u know abt it.
I hope this will soothe you people a bit but i am still not sure myself.
Thanks0 -

If the T&C are correct ,whatever the CS people might say you will still get your 07744/07755 calls in your inclusive minutes as it only applies to new and existing customers connecting or upgrading to a Dolphin, Canary, Racoon or Panther “Animal Package” via Orange direct between 1 March 2007 and 31 July 2007.
So if the published T&C are correct, Orange are discriminating against people who signed up for these tariffs after the 1/3/2007,having changed the T&C long after date, without any notice. They knew all the time what these numbers were used for having previously charged for them, and then allowed them out of inclusive minutes. They would not not have a leg to stand on if you have take them to the Arbitrator.0 -
Fair enough but they also said that its the calling card companies who have increased their charges to such an extent that it is not possible for us to still include them in bundle minutes.0

If you spoke to 5 different customer service people they would all probaly tell you a different story.
I understand why they want to charge in the future. But why the lack of notice. Why the backdate for customers who signed up after the 1/3/2007 over 3 months later. Why only certain customers.
The fact is that they have made a right pigs ear of this.:eek:0 -
So just phoned Orange Customer Services this morning for their "updated" information...and reading from their script they confirmed that it is ALL contracts...if you phone 07744 you now get charged.
I asked about cancellations and what the official line is to which obviously they said no. I'll be putting it in writing and see what happens.
