Just got a text from Orange!

These terms and conditions apply to new and existing customers connecting or upgrading to a Dolphin, Canary, Racoon or Panther “Animal Package” via Orange direct between 1 March 2007 and 31 July 2007.

Probably this is why people with old contracts (including me) did not get a text from Orange.

I just got the text today, i'm on Canary 30!!! and such short notice, this is going to catch a lot of people, however i wonder if i can cancel the contract because of this...?

Am on Panther since September 2006.... Got the text as well... As from today, there are no free 07744 numbers... Loophole closed

Connection is subject to status and a 12, 18 or 24 month minimum term contract (or such longer minimum connection period as stated in your agreement with Orange

i have three orange contracts two from e2save and one from mobileconctions is it affect or not because i have not taken from orange direct......

I am with orange since Jan 2007 and still got the text.

Also, in the terms and condition, it says - the charges apply to new and existing customers joining via 'Orange direct'.

Does that mean if purchased from OSPS/CPW/ or any other dealer, they won't charge?

im on dolpin tariff since october 2006 and got the text message today too.
but if you read carefully on their website of changes in terms and conditions,it applies to all existing and new customers WHO CONNECT OR UPGRADE TO ANIMAL PACKAGE VIA ORANGE DIRECT BETWEEN 1 MARCH 07 AND 31 JULY 07.

on terms and conditions #3.it says" exisiting customers will be subject to the our customers first terms and conditions".

so this means if you've been on animal package since before 1st march 2007,these terms and condition changes do not apply to you.
its only for those people who have connected or upgraded after 1 march 2007.

just been on the phone to orange and have the above confirmed.

so 07744 and 07755 still allowed for some customers but not for those who fall in the above category(1 march-31 july 07)

Thx for information but what about if you take your contract from other retailers not from orange direct.....

abid_rq, im not 100% sure,but if you didnt get via orange direct then it dosent apply to you.
as in the terms and condition it just mentions orange direct,not any other source.
confirm with orange on your particular case.

well i suppose orange direct counts as "direct from orange".

oh no!! ..

first 02 in may,..followed by T-mobile..and now..Orange...

the contract is hardly worth taking if i cant call 07744 numbers, as i hardly make local callls
