Many thanks0 -

Tells you lot about atrocious customer service they have. I used those numbers on daily basis and this was on the main reasons to get on contract in first place. Now, untrained and nonprofessional Orange staff doesn’t have an answer to the issue. This is ridiculous. OK enough with moaning; let’s see what can be done.0 -

If thats the case and the calls have been taken out of your inculsive minutes you should be able to cancel no problem....as that is a change to t and c0 -
Terrible news for us because we call abroad extensively using these gate numbers.
What's worrying that Orange's new T&Cs is still so confusing that I don't know whether my contracts signed last December would be affected.
I got their message at about 7PM and they said the change had been applied from today. That means an hour call abroad I made earlier today would cost me a lot of money just because they didn't inform me about the change before it takes place. This is unacceptable in terms of customer services. I would probably have to seek to cancel my contracts if that change would apply on me.
Anyway we could complain about this to a regulatory or standard body?

I am so annoyed with this.
I just took out 2 contracts at £40 a month each, (through mobile connections, who seem to be unwilling to pay the cash back at the moment), for the sole reason that i would be able to use these numbers.
called the customer service, and the man first said, fine i will put you through to our cancellation department, but came on the phone a minute later saying, no you cant cancel... complete change of tune.
Have emailed them to get something in writing, and will be taking it from there...
Not sure who i would take it to though...:(Nothing ever lasts forever...0 -
on 1st viewing sounds like a defo case of being able to cancel.
I use these numbers - I dont know what the argument is about them not supplying the service??!! they have also let me dial them and have substantially changed the prices...the law is if a rise is about the Retail Price Index (RPI) is
I am sure the people on front line either wont have been told or have been to told to put up a fight.
I will be looking into this and if I feel I have a case then I will simply cancel my DD and sent a special delivery letter to someone high up.
will update when I act

4.3 terminating your Contract because Orange has changed its terms
You may also terminate your Contract if we vary its terms, resulting in an excessive increase in the Charges or changes that alter your rights under this Contract to your detriment. In such cases you would need to give us at least 14 days written notice prior to your Billing Date (and within one month of us telling you about the changes). However this option does not apply if: 4.3.1 we have increased the Charges by an amount equal to or less than the percentage increase in the All Items Index of Retail Prices published by the Central Statistical Office in the Monthly Digest of Statistics in any 12 month period; or
