Hi,
Just read this thread today and phoned: 0800 0790134, they transfered me to another department and they said they could have me disconnected by midnight tonight. As this was too soon I said I would call back at a later date.
I asked for my number to be transfered to payg but they said they can't do this, can someone who has been given a pac code or had their number transfered to payg please perhaps provide me with some details so I could provide them of evidence that this can be done? Pm me.
Thanks,
G0 -
I too got my bill.Calls to 07744 & 07755 were charged, but the calls to 077000 numbers came out of my anytime minutes, so I guess its going to remain so. Any one has any info if this is going to remain so for sure. This will reduce the hassle of calling cust care every now and then to confirm that its not charged. any info in this regard is highly appreciated.

I have been told I can transfer to my number to Orange PAYG but as I'm in month 9 of an 18 month contract I have to give 30 days notice when my number will go over to PAYG, but I'm still waiting for the sim.
I have noted my experience in post 158 of this thread.
They have to give you a PAC to transfer your number, I'd call them back and ask them again, it might be that the person you spoke to didn't know what there doing.Nearly debt free

If anyone has been able to cancel your contract please PM me also let me know if your contract gave you any sort of incentive (eg cashback). Orange are telling me I cannot cancel when I know some people have.0

i called up orange, and one person said i couldn't cancel. i called again and was told that i could cancel. I canceled, and asked for a letter in writing. It did come to say that my account is canceled.
But then i decided to uncanceled it, as i am on cash back anyways.
But if you get told by someone that you cant cancel, just say ok, and call again... you are likely to get someone who will say yes you can cancel.
The first time i called, i got through to a very argumentative lady, telling me that it was illegal to call 07744 nos... or some rubbish..
The next time i called, the lady i spoke to was nice, polite, and said, yes fine you can cancel... so try try again.
But remember youve only got a few days left, as the terms and conditions say you can only cancle up till 30 days after the cahnge in terms and conditions.. so follow it up quickly, cause my guess is they will try to stall you till the 30 days is up... so they wont have to cancel... ask for a letter asap.Nothing ever lasts forever...0 -
Record the conversation if you can where you are giving them notice to terminate/cancel ........ let's see them wriggle out of that in court.0
