By the way - if modern technology is so dangerous - how are you communicating with us? Smoke signals? (very carcinogenic!)

Have you ever been hospitalised because of your "allergies/phobias"? No? Then think about what you are doing/saying about your mother. You are trying to guilt trip her into doing exactly what you want - can't you see that what you are asking for is control?
The fact that you are still living in HER house surely shows that she still loves you - and frankly, my dear, sympathy is the last thing you need. You need a large lump of tough love - which is what your mother is trying to give you.

No I haven't been hospitalised but let me tell you that mental pain and issues can be much more damaging than physical problems. And I have tried to commit suicide once that failed but didn't end up in hospital.
I want her to change, so I no longer suffer and can cope better.
If you had a fear of spiders, and everyday, you had to encounter them 3 or 4 times, from the person that you are supposed to be closest to (parent), do you think you would think that the parent loves you if they were doing it and telling you to shut up and just go to your roomThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. You do not know what any of us have to live with - so stop being such a Drama Llama! Frankly, I'm beginning to think that you need to go back home, under your bridge - trip trap, trip trap .....0 -

My partner's child had a fear of spiders, so he explained to her that they were not going to hurt her. Then he held one in his hand and let her gradually become closer. Eventually she held it herself and is now absolutely fine with them.0 -

It provides a shelter. If I owned the house, I would tell her if she didn't stop using the products, then she should pack her bags. To be honest I'm kind of even more depressed most people have went on my Mum's side. If they had children, they would be happy to see their children lock themselves in their room for hours? and be depressed most of the time?
Insted i would encourage them to see help for their problems. There is such a thing as enabling with MH problems. It's not easy but you evidently need the skills and coping strategies to overcome your problems, and live a more normal life. Surely you can see sealing yourself in your room is not a "normal"(sorry not the best word) reaction? Its an extreme reaction to your phobia. If your mum starts cutting things out left right and center, that will just reinforce the idea that these reactions are normal, which won't change anything. You won't have overcome your phobia, rather your mother will be enabling it to continue. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
