Tesco dumped my shopping and ran!

This is getting quite silly now, this debate really should end, its not productive and has really just turned into a slanging match.
It doesnt matter that the OP could have opened the door, she chose to put her kids to bed, she had no obligation to open the door as she was not expecing anyone at the time the door bell rang. Tescos have admitted that they were in the wrong in this instance and have apologised to the OP
It dosent matter what anyone else would have done, this is a vent board, the OP tried to vent and has been flamed for it, she felt Tescos were in the wrong, Tescos admit they were in the wrong, lets just leave it at that and move on0 -
Aggg! Carol, you fell for the troll's ruse again. Just ignore the sad, lonely troll. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

I'm with OP on this. Its unacceptable for a delivery to be 30mins early without prior notice. I have 2 young kids, and I have Tescos deliver weekly.
They have been early once, with notice, and late a couple of times, by 10mins max.
I cant belive that they just unloaded the shopping on your doorstep as well, i know its 8.30-9pm, but its still muggy and warm out. Health and safety rule totally applied, what if some cat or dog, walked by and ate the food, or even worse, urinated on it??!!
I think a letter of complaint is the way to go
