I'm gobsmacked. Where is there any need for certain people on here to be so downright nasty to the OP?
Carol had paid for a service which was then changed without notice. The reasons why she booked her service at a specific time are irrelevant to the point of the contract being broken yet again at her inconvenience.
In your position Carol, I would not have answered the door either. Five minutes early could be reasonably accommodated or even ten but not half an hour and certainly not having complained on numerous occasions about the recurrent calls outside of my scheduled delivery time. The shopping wasn't even due to arrive at 9pm but AFTER.
Carol if I was you I would walk away and not look at this thread again. Certain people are obviously taking pleasure in causing you upset.
I'm disgusted with all the "thanks" the negative comments on this thread have received - like poking fun at people's misfortunes is something to have a big joke about. Carol is understandably annoyed at being persistently let down by a company unable to keep their end of the bargain and regardless of how big a deal this is in the grand scheme of things she still cannot be considered "in the wrong" no matter which way you dress it up.0 -
Thank you for your good manners, Elle83. I'm pleased to say I am long past the point of being upset by any of the comments posted, though would like posters to bother to read my comments before criticising me. No, it is amusing but really ought to finish - we are all busy people and this being mse, time is money etc. I'm sure there are many more valuable, interesting vital threads out there, with people who need your help, advice etc.
Lovely sunny day, isn't it?0 -

Yes it does, uktim, numerous times, learn to read....
Appreciate it's a very long thread and excruciatingly dull to read but PLEASE do not comment unless you have actually bothered to check your facts first.
Thanks.

Where have you said this, I read all your posts and cannot see it.
Also, how have you come to the conclusion I can't read? Missing a sentence through 214 posts does not mean you can't read! Checking of facts rings a bell there!
Whilst your at checking your facts, find your post that says they didn't ring. I really don't think you'll find it.0 -
Thanks for the edit, uktim, your post now makes sense....
In answer to your question, how about this (post no. 34):
Out of my last 8 weekly shops probably about 5 of them have been early - one of them an hour and a half so! I've complained before and been told each time they were sorry and would phone if they were going to be early. But they never do.
Out of interest, why are you still posting here? We all know about a certain moneysaver and his emotional needs, but what exactly is your reason for still pursuing this interminable thread? Just curious.........0 -
The daily laughs I get from reading it!0
