I would just ignore them, you wanted to have a vent on the vent board and that was what you did, vented. Right place, right reason. Whether others agree that you had a valid vent is up to them it is their right, but they have no right to be so nasty about it.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 10

Carolt, you PAID for a tesco delivery service, so quite rightfully you should expect them to arrive at the time you agreed with them! none of the nasty posts were deserved, and were obviously posted my people who have no life, and nothing better to do than spend all night waiting for their shopping delivery.
I ordered 18 bottles of wine with Tesco as they had free delivery, but the guy (who arrived on time) parked his van about 50m from our flat front door, dumped the 3 boxes on the pavement, and drove off. I can only just manage 1 box, let alone 3, and lived in an area where the other 2 boxes would be long gone by the time i got the first box inside my front door! thankfully a neighbour saw me struggling and gave me a hand!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

That might have something to do with the board title - which is.....
the Vent Board
which is, oddly enough, where folks have a whinge about shoddy service that they have paid for.0 -

i'm just going to refer you to this post by martin which is at the top of the forum.
the two quotes you should read are:
"Please err on the side of caution. I never want to be put in the position of receiving an email complaining about a post and having to decide whether it must be removed. We all set different standards of language and behaviour. The question to ask yourself is "would anyone take offence?" to such a statement - if the answer is yes then please don't post it."
"And remember…. Be nice to your fellow MoneySavers"
as i have already told you on another thread, there are ways to get your point across without being rude.
i would also strongly suggest that you find other boards to frequent apart from the venting one, as seemingly everyone who ever complains is offensive to you.:happyhear0 -
Thank you for your good manners, Elle83.
I'm glad to see you recognise good manners, BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T SHOW ANY TO ME WHEN YOU ATTACKED MY PARENTING SKILLS.
You said to meI wouldn't accuse you of that, however,Kimevans - you have one child; I have 3. Believe me, if you ever have 3 you WILL find it harder work and you cannot just carry 3 kids downstairs with you to open the door while you let the delivery driver in! Indeed, there might well be those who suggest that parents such as yourself who deliberately leave their children to cry are bad parents,
Again, while I agree Tesco should call in the right slot. I would never be so rude as to deliberately leave someone waiting half an hour at my door.
The fact that I do not agree with you doing this, DOES NOT MAKE ME A BAD MOTHER.
Just someone who can multi-task. I can look after a baby & answer the door too:rolleyes:0 -
You book a time convenient for yourself. The lady knew that 8.30pm was not convenient so therefore didnt book that time. It is not the drivers job to determine whether it is convenient or 'rude' of her not to answer the door; it is his job to deliver the items on time. ON TIME being the time she arranged, regardless of her reasons. Give her a break !
would the lady be happy the driver turning up at one mnute to 11pm (time slot 9pm to 11pm)
then if she had a big shop with 20 trays, this taking 30 minutes and by the time she put the shopping away this might be 12.300 -
it strikes me that the argument has been exhausted now and the thread should be locked. are there no moderators checking the forums?x x x0

I have read through this and totally agree with everything you say carolt :T
If I had been in your position I would have done exactly the same.
There are far too many rude and cheeky comments on here about this and I hope you are just laughing about them - I know I have!! Some people (I won't name) are just halfwits!!!
Bottom line is Tesco were in the wrong and you had a rant - that is what this is all about - go girl!!:TI used to have a life............................... before MSE!!
