Tesco dumped my shopping and ran!

I am not even answering that. I have seen you on other forums - you are very abrasive. You are a waste of space! I think I made my comment in a positive manner and you have continually replied to posters in an abrasive manner to those posting. I see you are relatively new to the forums. Maybe you should learn some manners . We are never so abrasive to posters. We express our views but not in the way you do. Troll was your desciption earlier - maybe apt but don't quote me.
Sorry, but I do think Board Guides should be a bit more policing of comments like this. There is a way to criticise! I know this is the vent board but this guy is being provocative

Dissed by someone's granny...The money, Dave...0 -
They would invite you either within opening hours or other set times and you'd be expected to stick to them.
Like when shops have preview evenings etc - the customer is given set times to go.
I don't really see you point. Surely they were 'invited', (although I'd rather call it agreed to call), between 9 and 11pm, not 8.30pm?

But if you hack someone off who picks your food, and delivers your food, don't be surprised if you don't get the best cut of meat on your table.
The drivers just deliver - they have nothing to do with the picking.
I think the point is he should have rang and given the OP the option of accepting the delivery earlier, but he didn't. Why have delivery slots (and quite wide ones at that) if they are just going to ignore them?
Remember too that we can't be sure he knew anyone was home. He may have just thought he'd dump it and the customer would pull up in their car any time soon.
Would have been great for her unloading three tired children and trying to get all the shopping inside wouldn't it? He should have sat in the van and rang. If no answer, he should have waited until the alloted time or gone away and come back later - simple as.
This is about big companies feeling they can treat customers how the hell they like and people will be 'grateful' for anything they can get.
Well yes, if a service is shoddy 50% of the time, then I guess us customers will lower our expectations and allow Tesco and the like to make even more money! Great!!!!
Why are you on this site is you don't object to consumers being treated like muck???0 -

but this is not a friend for heaven sake, this was a service that she booked for after 9pm and tescos broke the expressed term in the contract.
I think you are trying to cause further arguments so I could be justified in calling you a troll, like it or not Mr Brooker:rolleyes:0 -

Not five minutes or so no - but half an hour.... Come on!
Shops would not let you in until the time they open. Why do their paying customers not have the same right?0 -

Hmmmm, I'm starting to wonder if this poster really believes in their 'argument', or just likes a row too.0 -

The whole point of using a home delivery service is that the shopping gets delivered to your house and the driver helps to get inside the house, the whole point of booking a slot is so it arrives at a convenient time, if carolt was upstairs i doubt it if she would be able to hear the driver putiing her shopping on her doorstep i know i wouldnt be able to, if the had rung to say could he srop the shopping off a bit earlier im sure that would have been fine but he didnt,
someone said that two thirds of the people wh have commented on here find it acceptabel to not answer(or something ot that affect), i dont ignore the door if someone rings the doorbell, if the doorbell(the doorbell is in plain view, some people are blind) isnt pressed and all they do is knock or flap the letterbox then i dont always hear them, is there any wonder i dont hear the door when the doorbell isnt pressedNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20
