Oh, and if people wish to report this then I can assure you that it is covered by the offence of Malicious Communications and your local force should record it or at least take a statement from you to send to the Met as it seem to originate there.

It won't allow me to post a link to the legislation but Google Malicious Communications Act 1988.

They are all one and the same person based in Greenford. They sell cables and things such as HDMI cables, RF cables.

Check your email confirmations to see. If you pay by PayPal they will use your PayPal address, not necessarily the one registered with eBay or an online store.

* HDMI cable from amazon - I used PayPal.

I had the same thing in the post this morning - swansea area - it was addressed to my maiden name and I was married over 5 years ago so wherever they have obtained this data from it appears to be old. I will be filling in a complaint to the authorities also! :mad:

just like everyone one here I too received these DVD - have contacted my local police and they have logged it on their system and have requested that I telephone / email the action fraud team - if any one else wants to ring them the number is 0300 123 2040 (open 8am till 9pm) or email them from their website. Im so relieved that its not just me - I felt physically sick when my husband rang me to say that I had had a delivery of !!!!!! - I hope the police will be able to do something.

Really glad I'm not the only one to have received these DVDs! I was shocked to open the envelope, and will be reporting it to Trading Standards. Thank you to the people who have already posted to say they have contacted the Police, Royal Mail etc - good on you!

Please do be careful though about accusing individual ebay sellers etc. It could be purely coincidence that two or more people on this thread have bought from them, especially if they are popular sellers. I feel awful because, having received the DVDs when I got home from work today, I wrongly accused an individual seller who had just dispatched an item to me from Amazon of providing me with dodgy goods!! Reading this thread made me realise that wasn't the case!

By the way, the number on my envelope was 149!
