Compensation for delayed flights Discussion Area

Hi, I need some advice -
I was on a flight with Norwegian Air
DY7096 - 23rd July - Flight cancelled and re-scheduled for the next day (sent home)
DY7096 - 24th July - Flight also cancelled and re-scheduled for the next day, when we finally took off on the 25th.
After going via Norwegian, then CAA and now UK Small Court Claims I have finally received an offer of compensation - but for just one flight - as they are saying that both scheduled flights count as one. Can anyone shed some light on whether this is the case, or if they should be treated as two separate delays?
Thanks,
PaulIf you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I applied for compensation however was declined is this worth pursuing as there was 4 of us and I did lose a days wages and had a disciplinary due to being awol

you are probably best starting here

you should also post (if you have further questions) in the applicable thread for the airline
Whether a case is worth pursuing depends on whether their reason for delay is true or false and whether they can show they worked to mitigate the delay
This is likely to be too long ago for a NWNF to take on so you are likely going to have to do all this yourself0 -
Bit of an aside really ..... the airlines are stating that flight prices will rise as a result of 261/2004 and Huzar -v- Jet2. EU estimate a €3 per flight per passenger increase (if all claim) and Jet2 indicate a 50p extra charge for those expected to claim. Particularly with regards to fuel prices decreases this article (geared at USA but equally applicable to UK/EU) indicates the possible increase due to 261/2004 is more than offset by fuel price decreases.

I'm hoping to get a bit of advice with regards to compensation applicable to a delayed flight but not under EU legislation.
You may use this tool [tripmole.com] to check compensation or refund for non EU flight.0 -
I don't know who tripmole are, but I don't think they're based in the UK. Nor do I think they're very user friendly - their website asks you for your booking reference and the 13 digit ticket number. Who keeps those?
If you want to check whether your flight looks valid for compensation, I would personally recommend Bott's claim calculator - which I think is much more straightforward [https://www.bottonline.co.uk/aviation/flight-compensation-claims-form]. I should stress I have no professional or personal connection to Bott&Co - they I think they provide an excellent service.
But actually, you don't need to do any of this in the first instance. If you know you arrived at your destination more than 3 hours late, and that you weren't delayed by weather or air traffic control on your flight then there is a very good chance you're entitled to compensation. And - unless you want a NWNF company to handle your claim - I would start the claim by writing to the airline. All this is covered in my guide (details below).0
