  • Relevant thread? This thread says discussion area, is that not correct? Virgin was a simple form to fill in, I can't find any form on Qatar's website & I have spent ages looking.

As qatar is a non-EU airline you will find posts relating to them, including the address to send claim to in this thread

Just type "Qatar" into the "search this thread" option on that thread

Hello I have just recently returned from holiday and our flight was delayed for 3 hours. The airline was BH Air. Can we claim against this airlines for delays.

    Hi jakester1975,

I have recently put in a claim to BH Air for a 9 hour flight delay a few weeks ago. Not heard back yet but it has only been 8 days! I will let you know how I get on (if I do get a reply).

we (family of four) flew out of Madrid 3 years ago. The plane burst a tyre on take off. We then circled around the bay of biscay for over 5 hours (daughter took photo of flight map on entertainment screen) to burn up fuel then landed back at Madrid.

As it was a decision by Air Europa to fly around and land at Madrid and not continue to Cancun, then I hope this isn't an "extraordinary" fault. I don't see why landing at Cancun would have been any more dangerous than Madrid, it probably suited them operationally to land at Madrid to replace the tyre there. However if we had burst a tyre on landing at Cancun then there must be facilities to repair/replace the tyre before the plane leaves

we then waited for about 2 hours or so until we were put on a different aircraft and finally reached our destination (Cancun) about 8 or 9 hours late. (7900 km).

I didn't see Air Europa on your list of airlines. However I have used your template and completed the complaint form online on the Air Europa website to start the process. I have had an automatic email reply, however no other reply since the 8th of this month (now 19 days) as it's peak holiday time and August, how long should I wait before writing directly to Air Europa using the template letter ?

    thanks
    Robin

Wait as long as you are willing to wait - there is no statutory maximum or minimum time. Have a read of the FAQs and, if that doesn't answer all your questions, please post any follow up on the relevant thread.

Sorry if this already answered but I couldn't find it - Flight was cancelled 2009 with flyglobespan resulting in us having to return next day to a different airport and pay for another night in hotel. I understand they have now went bust - any advice?

    Bust = no claim
  • Is it possible to make a claim for compensation on cancelled ferries from uk to ireland? It caused me to travel the day later, spend more money on travel and for a nights accommodation. The ferry i caught was then also delayed an hour causing me to miss the connecting train. Do you use the same process as the flights or is it not possible to claim on ferries.

    Thanks

    Flight compensation
The summer is over, but if your holiday was dampened by a flight delay, whether in the past few weeks or dating back as far as 2008, Martin Lewis reveals how YOU could be entitled to up to £480 per person.

The Regulation title states it applies to "denied boarding and of cancellation or long delay of flights".

Your only potential recourse is contract law. Have a look at the booking small print. I suspect you'll struggle but if you don't ask.
