Right all ready to go, now in my letter to them shall i put my partners name aswell, and in all the copys i send would you recomend i send copys of the alternitive flight tickets or just the original info?

You should include the full booking details, including names of the PAX and documentary evidence if you have it (copies of the ticket for which you were denied boarding, or - if they were taken away and substituted for new tickets for a later flight - the email confirmation for the original booking).

Jet 2 flight took off on time from manchester on 1st feb 2014 but after a hour and half had to return due to navigation system problem flew back to Leeds airport after circling in the air for approx another hour and half ,our first landing had to be aborted but our 2cd landed safely. Changed aircraft arrived in tenerife 6 hours late. Only offered a free hot drink. Can we make a claim?

Yes you can. Have a read of the jet2.com thread, especially the FAQs on page one.
  • I have come up against a brick wall with my claim. Can anyone recommend a no win no fee company? Thanks!

You are in a limited market because almost all these cases will be below the £10,000 small claims limit so the costs that can be recovered are very restricted. This means that very few firms will take these cases (which are very specialised) on a no win no fee basis. There are some and you will almost certainly have to pay a slice of your winnings.

My impression was that this was a nascent but growing market. There is no shortage of outfits if you google - but the key is getting one that will actually see it through.

I personally have read good things about Bott - the solicitors based in Wilmslow - but there are a number of them out there, as I say.
