I could have saved myself a lot of time and trouble by letting this site deal with my claim.
There are lots of websites offering this service. Not sure I'd recommend all of them though.
If the CAA says you have a claim and the airline has agreed to pay out, why not write back to the CAA to ask them to speak to the airline on your behalf?0 -
I've been haggling with Thomas Cook for over 12 months for compensation for our flight delay.
I sent my case to the CAA. The CAA sent me an e mail stating that Thomas Cook had agreed to pay us compensation.
Despite sending numerous e mails to Thomas Cook, I have heard nothing from them.
A new website is willing to issue proceedings for people who want to claim compensation. They will deal with everything.

If anyone wants details, please private message me.
Does anyone know how long you have to be a member of this site before you are allowed to post a website's details?
I've been trying to post about a new site that helps with flight delay compensation on a no win no fee basis, but it's stating that as a new member, I can't do this. I've been a member for over a year.0 -
Thanks. I have done. If I don't get anywhere I'll use this new website.
I wish I'd used a good no win no fee site initially.
This has taken up so much time it is ridiculous.0 -

The problem with no win no fee is that clients are dazzled by that phrase and tend not to look to closely at what they have to pay if they win. These firms are not idiots. They will not take cases that they don't expect to have a reasonable chance of winning.0

I had a 5 hour delay in September with BA from Heathrow to Seattle. I wrote to then as suggested here - within 5 days i had a response from British Airways - 5 days after that a very nice cheque dropped through my letterbox for £507 - happy with that!0

Hi
We were delayed 12 hours on Aug 26 from Manchester to Sharm on flight ZB 684 and have out a claim in with Monarch. They have rejected our claim saying it was extraordinary circumstances but we were issued a letter in day if delay from Monarch stating it was a technical problem which then led to crew issues. I sent this letter with our claim forms. It was rejected so I asked CAA to look into it for me. Monarch reopened my case and I have again received email stating that claim has been rejected again, but I've not heard anything from CAA.
Any ideas in what to do next please?

We are currently awaiting a court date, the judge had asked for clarification on a few matters from the airline.they were instructed to also send us a copy.after receiving it I feel like I need to send the judge further info on our claim.
i feel like I should have gone into more detail of what happened in the first place and also the defence is a bit misleading .I feel like I need to point this out to the judge.can I do this? Do I have to send a copy to the airline also?0
