Had a look on the forum and can't see this question!!
My case has been referred by MCOL to my local court. In light of the Huzar ruling it worth going back to Travlaw who are representing TC and ask if they want to settle now?Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0 -
Up to you - it's a tactical question. Personally I think it makes you look a bit desperate. If they want to settle because they don't think they'll win, they'll get in touch themselves. And they're likely to wait until the last possible moment (the deadline for bundle submissions probably).0

Great news that the Civil Aviation Authority have (somewhat) clarified the 'Extraordinary Circumstances' row, about time! People who are claiming on their own should have more joy now. If you do struggle, we have a Facebook page called FlightDelayCompensation, feel free to like us and ask any questions. Always happy to help
P.s. anyone up against Jet2 you're in for a tough one, they only pay out on 2% of claims!!!
Posters will struggle if they follow this advise as the 'clarification' is, putting it bluntly a load of rubbish.0 -
What are you talking about Daim21? If you mean by "clarification" the absurd NEB list published a few months back, I struggle to see how this gives claimants more "joy". Seems to me to be a charter to ignore the law ...0

Hi everyone. New to the forum. I have went through the process of claiming compensation for a 6.5 hour delay after a cancelled flight from Aberdeen to Charles De Gaulle and then Charles De Gaulle to Philadelphia. On arrival at Charles De Gaulle we were told the flight to Philadelphia had been cancelled. No reason given. We then had to wait 6.5 hours to be put onto a flight to Montreal, Canada, and then from there to Philadelphia. This was in 2010. As it is almost 4 years ago, I do not still have the ticket/boarding pass. I would have thought AF would have still had all such details on file. However, after waiting 6 weeks for any response - I finally received this email today:
Thank you for your message of 30 September 2013. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience you mention and for the unintended belated reply.
We are sorry to hear that you and Ms********** were inconvenienced by the cancellation of flight AF8634, operated by Delta Air Lines, from Paris to Philadelphia on 29 June 2010. We understand that you are now claiming compensation for this.
Please note that we can only keep passengers' records on file for two years, therefore it is your responsibility to provide us with the following information before we can proceed with our investigation:
-proof of purchase of both tickets (credit card statements or itinerary receipts sent by us)
-booking code and tickets number
We will not be able to proceed with our investigation if the above information is not provided.
Thank you for placing your trust in Air France. We hope to see you soon on our routes.
Yours sincerely,
As I do not have the details they are requesting (and before anyone suggests it - I HAVE already been through my old emails and I dont have as far back as then, even in deleted/trash) do I have any more recourse?
Thanks0 -

I would have thought that was nonsense. What do they mean "we can only"? Why? I don't imagine there is any legal reason why they can't keep records longer - given that other airlines do. Maybe it's different with a French company? As I do not have the details they are requesting (and before anyone suggests it - I HAVE already been through my old emails and I dont have as far back as then, even in deleted/trash) do I have any more recourse?
If you look at the FAQs and/or do a search, this question has been answered previously.0 -
Probably better reading the Air France thread to see what responses others have received0
