Will be sending my letter tomorrow hopefully. Here is the letter we were given in Cuba for our delay from Manchester a few weeks ago.

I see the news that Thomas Cook is refusing to pay out so far..be interesting to see if anyone is successful when BA and Easyjet are being over backwards for delays of similar nature.
Tried opening your link but it wasnt legible.
Anyone else having same problem?
Would be interested to see anything from TC as to date they have been ignoring me!I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left!0 -

Is this something that should happen?
We received nothing in writing from TC while waiting nearly 6 hours in Hurghada.
No TC staff present.
No official reason given when we eventually boarded a plane that had been flown from the UK to pick us up.
I think it's article 14 of the Regulation:

Hmmm, yes, I deliberated on this one. I think the airline would claim that it's unreasonable to expect cabin crew to wear burn proof attire whilst performing their duties within the confines of a cabin.
And whether it's reasonable to have stand by crew in every location in the world that they fly to is another avenue that would be a test for the courts.
Just my opinion, nothing else. OP asked for opinions, mine is no more valid than anyone else's.0 -

The info off Charter says the flight was due to land at 11.35 am. The flight landed at 19.03.
However when i use the flightstats site it says the flight was scheduled to land at 17.13.
Is this because they have updated it for when the flight changed and was re-scheduled.
I'm not sure it matters. It was delayed arrival in excess of 5 hours whatever permutation you use.0 -
Oh, sorry, I get it now. There seems to be a possibility that the flight was rescheduled, - at short notice - and flightstats reflect this.
Much will depend on the paperwork that you can amass, Charter confirmation, and Monarchs excuse.0 -
Noticed at the bottom of the Thomas Cook letter posted today by
Robrymond (post 3600) that the address given for Thomas Cook Airlines (TCA) was in Bradford.
I have been writing to TCA address in Peterborough.
Have I been sending to the wrong address?I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left!0 -

I think that is just a standard Customer Relations office rather than Head Office for the airline, but it would be good if someone else could confirm?0 -

At least I have done something right!I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left!0
