So I've now given them the bank details over the phone. He said it should be paid within 14 days. We will see.
I had already escalated to CEO via resolver a week ago, and no reply. They seem to be dragging their feet. So I'm voting with my feet and will not fly with them again, even if they do pay up.
I'm not that impressed with resolver, and probably won't use them again.
Finally be paid by Norweigan after nearly 3 months. I recommend others claiming from Norweigan go direct rather than via resolver.0 -
I booked a return ticket to Sri Lanka on Qatar Airways - all on one booking with same reference number. On the inbound journey, there was a 4 hour delay on the Doha/London leg of the flight. It seems somewhat of an anomaly that I can't get compensation under EU regulations when there is a delay on the inbound flight Doha/London, whereas I can get compensation if there's a delay on the outbound flight (London/Doha or Doha/Colombo). Does anyone have any views on this?0

As it is an EU regulation, all flights departing from the EU are covered. For flights starting outside the EU, you are only covered if the airline is an EU airline0

Hi all, have a quick question...
We had a flight, 6 hours delayed from Gatwick to Antalya. Submitted claim via resolver, no correspondence at all but just received a cheque for ~£700 - happy days
However, there were 4 of us flying, me, my wife, my daughter (paid) and my <2 son
From reading around it seems the children should be entitled to compensation as well, but seems that this sum is only what I should have received for half the party?
Whats the best way to pick up this? Should I open a follow up case with Resolver?
Thanks0 -
If you paid anything, including an admin fee for a child then each one is due compensation.
Did you receive a letter with cheque? If so, best course of action is to write back to the address on that letter, pointing out their mistake, mark it as an NBA or LBA and give them 14-21days to pay up.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Thanks - if nothing was paid, what then? It seems there was at least something against one of the kids...
No letter came with the cheque, just a cheque... so it's all a bit werid!
Things that had values against them on the receipt were:
Adult Package Price
Infant Price (£45.00) - unsure if this is 3 year old or the 6mo old
Room Supplement (See Room Description)
Wooden Cot
Late Check Out Room
On-Line Discount
Amount Paid to Date

On all the airlines I have have flown on in the past an infant is a child below the age of two years old on the date of departure. Up to 1 yr 364 days to be exact.
I hope you will report them to the CAA once you have received your FULL compensation. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
So in theory am definitely due compensation for the infant, if my daughter was on a free child place (which I honestly can't remember, but she doesn't seem mentioned in the costs on the receipt) does that mean she is ineligible for compensation?
Many thanks0 -

It's not 100% clear.
I was going off what you said here...
"However, there were 4 of us flying, me, my wife, my daughter (paid) and my <2 son"
and that the infant was also paid for.
I think you will need to contact them to find out who they have paid compensation to and also check if there was a free child place included.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Hi there Money Savings Expert
Well the good news is Virgin have offered me compensation :j, however the bad news is its for under 4 hours.
My flight was due to arrive at 17:10, the historical flight data shows touch down at 21:00. I'm pretty sure we were over 4 hours delayed and thought I read somewhere the airline can't claim touchdown time it is when the doors are opened. Is this correct and is it worth appealing to try and double my compensation? Is there a case I can quote to help my case please?
Many thanks0
