We flew with Air Austral from La Reunion to Marseille.
It is long haul (10 hr flight, well over the 3500km) but within EU, as Reunion is part of France (and thus Air Austral is an EU airline).
I am going to send them a reminder today as they haven't replied, but I wonder if I'd be better filling in the EU form rather than just re-sending my original e-mail0 -

Yes, the French overseas departments are included in the regulations.
Most airlines usually have an EU261 flight delay claim form on their website. If that is available, it will be the quickest and most direct way of claiming.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
It looks as though there is a generic general claim form hidden within the help section. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Yes, I did find the generic claim form, thanks, and there didn't seem to be a specific one.
I sent them an e-mail with all the details though; it seemed easier and I wanted to be able to sign in our joint names which you can't on the form.
The EU form I'm talking about is this one
EU Complaint form for air passengers - Europa EU
which is linked to from the article on here I think0 -
Ah, I've never seen that form.
Thats a useful and comprehensive form.

Hello all,
Quick question for those of you whom have been successful with their delay flight compensation with easyjet.
They sent me an email on the 4th of August to tell me that my claim had been reviewed and I was entitled to compensation; in this email they mention I need to allow at least 14 days for the money to arrive in my account. It has been over a month but so far I have not received anything.
Any advise will be much appreciated.
Thanks,0 -

I should move this to the easyJet thread.
I did reply to the initial email (customer.service@easyjet.com) two weeks ago but so far I have not received any replies.0 -
Hi,
My flight from Ghana to Birmingham via Istanbul by Turkish airlines was delayed in Turkey. It was scheduled for 07:30 hrs but rescheduled for 13.30 hours. The flight lasted more than 3 hours and was over 3500 km. Can I claim compensation, and will it affect the return flight back to Ghana please?
Thanks. You can have God without religion!0
