slowlyfading, that is very exciting! yippeeeeYay slowlyfading! That's exciting news. I hope your doctor is as nice as mine was. I was really worried she was going to be all 'aren't you a bit young' or whatever and she was really enthusiastic and told me I was awesome and that having kids is the best thing ever (I love my doctor... she's ace!)Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Excellent news, slowlyfading!
I'm a bit down this weekend. Went out for a friend's leaving party and she text me in the morning announcing she is pregnant. Another friend announced hers a month ago so I feel a bit sad.
We are waiting until we can afford to buy a house and don't want any banks to use any maternity leave against us when it comes to our mortgage (I've been told that's what happens?)
I am genuinely happy for my friend as she is in a good position, although it's bad timing as she is about to move and start a new job (she was trying for a baby but didn't realise it wouldn't take long!), but I feel I am in a much better position than my other friend who has less money, is still living with her mum and is in a unstable relationship.
It's not fair that I'm being sensible but I could just as easily go for it now as other people seem to copeOur Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

oooh slowlyfading! We'll be coming off the pill at round about the same time! It's so exciting isn't it!
Hang in there lulu! You do it when the time is right for you! Ignore everyone else!
I thought I was going to have a tough weekend, as was hanging out with a lot of friends with little ones - but instead got treated like one of the 'mums' and got into a really indepth discussion about cloth nappies (I'm a bit of a baby-nerd... have read up on EVERYTHING) - it was kind of nice not to have the insta response of 'oh you don't understand, you're not a parent'Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A0 -

I'm trying babe, it's so hard because OH doesn't show the most enthusiasm about it (maybe it's because I go on about it all the time!) but he finally told me that he's never wanted to have kids with someone as bad as he wants them with me (*aww*) which made me smile.
Our TTC start date kept changing which resulted in me spending £25 to get the pill because we had decided to try when my pill ran out and then the day before the 7 day break ended he changed his mind and wanted to start in October! 3 days later he changed the start date to January for the reasons in my previous post. Sooooo frustrating..Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I keep wanting to secretly do this: :dance::dance::dance:whenever I think about it!
Lulu - hang in there; me and DH have waited about 2 years for this moment, and although it's frustrating, your time will come!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I definitely did a little dance in the bathroom when I took my last pill. Still occasional think 's**t my pill' and then remember I'm not taking it anymore. Years of engrained activity!
For whoever was asking about return of fertility after a coil -
Copper coil/IUD - immediate
Mirena/IUS - within a month but most likely less0 -
It's really disheartening when you know you're doing the responsible thing and waiting for the right time when there are so many others just diving into parenthood and expecting everything to just fall into their laps afterwards when it suits them. I don't think there's ever a 'perfect' time but it makes you feel annoyed when you're waiting for a 'better' time when so many people just don't seem to care.
This is exactly how I feel. My friend split with her fianc! and them when she found out she was pregnant everything went back to how it was. Me and OH earn nearly 3x their joint income yet we can't afford to yet as we want to make sure baby has the best life possible. I am 3-4 years younger than my friends though.
I've been feeling a bit weird as I've been off work with stomach pains. Pain is now like a pressure and a stretching feeling in my lower abdomen so now the thought is in my head x xOur Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016
