Hows everyone doing today?
I'm starting to get my head around the ex expecting..
I have had a good email exchange/chat with the ex. I have been honest with him about how I have felt over the last couple days. Might sound like a crazy/odd thing to do, but it has helped.
He is such a kind and supportive person, and bless him, he has made me feel quite a bit better. My time will come......
Now onto the next plan..... ways to get BF to propose without him realising what I am doing.....0 -
Ah jojo - I would genuinely suggest sitting down and talking with the BF - yes surprise romantic proposals are all great, but if you really want to marry him, surely it's about more than a bit of romance - sit down and chat about the future (they hate this, actually tbh, I hate this, but sometimes it's necessary) explain about the biological ticktock that we ladies have (it might not have occoured to him!)Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A0

Just delurking as I noticed a lot of posts re when to come off the pill etc. I came off a year ago, my cycles have been really irregular ever since (my last one was 60 days!) which came as a shock to me as I had very regular cycles before I went on the pill.
I got my BFP last week (been trying since Christmas) so obviously my reproductive system wasn't in total hibernation. Obviously everyone is different, I hope I don't scare anyone! Just bear in mind it might take longer than you think to get back to normal, or you could fall pregnant the first month.0 -
Have you thought about just asking him if you could get married? Neither side has to propose as such, but if it's something really important to you then maybe worth just being blunt rather than hoping he'll catch your hints0

Congratulations Sulphate! (I totally lurk the TTC so I already knew LOL) - it's good to hear from your experience. I guess everyone is different, people react differently to being on the pill anyhows! So I guess we must all be different coming off it!Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A0

I dont think he would like that. I think he wouldn't like to tell people that we had just decided, the pressure for a perfect story/perfect moment i think would be too important
Congratulations Sulphate (i am also a lurker on TTC):j
I have a UID (i think), does anyone know how long it can take for normal cycles to return after removal? (im kidding myself that it will happen inside 18 months!) Is it the same as the pill? as in, completely depends on the woman?
i'll be home in 10 days, then i think normal life will kick back in, i'l have less time to think and lots of nice things to be getting on with, visitors and holidays. yippee!0 -
I've got my appointment at the doctors on Friday to discuss coming off the pill and what to do next - we're thinking we might be our TTC date forward which I'm very excited aboutBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Yay slowlyfading! That's exciting news. I hope your doctor is as nice as mine was. I was really worried she was going to be all 'aren't you a bit young' or whatever and she was really enthusiastic and told me I was awesome and that having kids is the best thing ever (I love my doctor... she's ace!)Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A0

oops, and I just ventured over to the 'Life on the dole!!' thread - prior warning to all of you... don't! I'm glad I don't have a TV, as I think a program about someone who is living in a council house and has 8 children would make me scream! I would love lots of children, but I know that financially it's probably sensible to stop at around 2/3 - so that's what I would do!Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A0
