Welcome Lulu :-) I hope the house-business goes well :-D sounds exciting. Also yes, chocolate does help :-D
Haha thanks. I am using the fact he changed his mind suddenly (which made me really upset) to make him do what I want for a bit!
October does seem like ages away but it's only 4 months or so. I know I'm only young but I'm getting veryyyyy broody now!Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I know what you mean! I've been horrifically broody since I was 16 - I think age is all relevant to the person, some people are ready at 20, some at 30 - we're all individuals :-DOfficially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A0

I completely agree.
What are people's opinion with sharing baby information on Facebook?
I have friends who post every scan picture and write a status everytime baby moves! I use Facebook all the time but we prefer the old fashioned photo albums on the shelf approach to baby pictures. As for statuses, we are going to do one to announce pregnancy and one for the birth (after the most important people are told first!)Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I have some Facebook friends who have posted from their BFP which I am not a big fan of, as things do happen in the first trimester and I wouldn't want the world to know if I had a miscarriage.
I'm going to avoid any pregnancy statuses although if there are photos of me looking like a whale then people are free to assume.
Then once we hopefully have the tiny human I will make a fbook announcement.
I am more paranoid than most as I used to be a gynaecology doctor and saw bad outcomes all the time.0 -
My Age/Partners age: 28/34
Time together: 6.5 years
What are you waiting for?!: Im studying for a degree whilst working 4 days a week and we have a 2 year old. also following a traumatic birth with DS1, I want to get my mind in the right place.
When will you be TTC? Around and after august this year.
Any preTTC prep? I have pre conception vitamins which i took with DS1, i have been to the doctor to check my counselling rights as i think I'm going to need it to help me through the next birth and also had a blood test. Im off the pill but my cycles are very erratic like last time TTC (I had 75 day cycles!!)
I'm taking my mind off TTC by... sorting our finances, working, studying and being a mumCurrent Mortgage balance - £363,785.35/£420,000 (highest point Oct 2022).0 -
Officially 100 days today! (Wedding is 99 days today, so I suppose you could count it as that, but I doubt we'll get home before midnight!)
Welcome to all the new people! I have to say, I'm not a fan of announcements via facebook anyway - I wouldn't tell ANYONE (except The Boss, and my best friend, who is a trained doula) before the end of the first trimester... and then when I told people, it certainly wouldn't be via facebook! Much nicer to deliver the news in person I think. Although I am with pm04gn - if people see pictures of me looking whale like, I'd hope they'd assume (or, knowing me, I'm likely to put a comment along the lines of 'no, I've not just gotten chubby')Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A0 -
OH has decided that he doesn't want maternity pay to get in the way of us getting a good mortgage deal so we are going to wait until we put the deposit on the house (January) - still so exciting! Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I can see why facebook is a handy way to announce it after family and friends, as it covers people which you might not see often but I really do not want to see a status about every baby gro, blanket and bottle that somebody buys during their 9 months - a pregnancy announcement and a birth announcement is plenty I think.0

Is it the dibb, kansaskitty? I'm on there as well!
Yes, it is The Dibb! Same username on there as on here, hi! :jooh thanks for the advice lil miss reading!
And kansaskitty - I'm actually just shy of my DDD, as we'll be starting in the middle of September :-D so I'll be sure to let y'all know when it hits! (Middle of next week sometime - I know this because I'm gonna do the 100 days of happiness thing, and end on my wedding day)
Hope everyone is having a good day - I'm having an awesome one, gave notice of intent to marry this morning :-D
Aw yay for giving notice of intent, how exciting! 100 days of happiness sounds good too, are you doing it FB/Twitter/Instagram?
And yes, chocolate does help. Although I'm already on a kind of pre TTC healthy eating and exercise plan, which I am loving being 9st instead of 9st 10lbs but gosh I am so snappy and miserable at not being able to eat what I'd like ha!
Also I had my implant removed May 29th, all went absolutely fine and I've had a withdrawal bleed. Got very hormonal the week before coming on (cue huge psychotic tears!) and have been very, ahem, *interested* in my hubby which is nice! LOL! Just a heads up for all of those having the implant out soon! :rotfl::heartsmil Stay-at-home-mummy of two, pinching the pennies but loving it! :heartsmilSpreadsheeter, piggybanker, envelope-system user!

Interested in what your healthy eating/exercise regime is Kansaskitty? I'm currently 9st 11 and aiming to be closer to 9 st by my TTC date (Sep/Oct)!
Just started my last pill pack today though! all getting a bit more real, so going to have a few months to get cycle back before starting TTC and planning to get started on some pre-preg vitamins soon too0
