    Evening :)

I like that thought ilovelondontown makes it seem a short wait.

I'm on FF but I really don't know what I'm doing, it's so confusing! I'm not temping, just using it to track my cycles since getting off contraception.

I have the same fear JellyBox I feel like my body is already too old to "do it's job" :o

AFM, turns out OH didn't want to push back TTC dates, just wanted to check we were all on track. I'm so relieved!

  • WD what a relief on the ttc talk with the OH, glad it wasn't anything negative. SO what track are you on now?

It's weird how you spend your whole life praying not to be pregnant and then it turns into worrying if you can get pregnant. No wonder waiting to try is so stressful!
Some times you have to hold back to go forward to where you want to be.

Tanks ilovelondontownI got myself so worried. We are saving for a house deposit ATM. We will be looking to get a mortgage at the end of the year so long as nothing derails us (fingers crossed!) and TTC as soon as the house buying is set in motion, so January. Woohoo!

Brilliant news WD, you can graduate to the next thread up, and hopefully drag a trail of the rest of us over with you :P

Can't wait til I'm able to be off the Nexplanon and can play with temps and stuff, just so I can feel more confident, or at least have answers to my fears!
  • Oh! and I don't know HOW I managed to miss sharing this, I've started taking folic acid! Small victory and move forward in the wttc!

  • ILLT - lol, every little helps.

Well, big news here too. Sat down with the OH over the weekend and through lots of tears on both sides we've cleared the air a lot and have a plan for moving house! There's some iffy-ness regarding income as he builds his business but on current averages with some cut backs we could move in two years.
Not quite a TTC date, but much much closer to having one. Such a relief to finally have him on board with moneysaving, I've often felt like I was beating my head on a wall, but with spreadsheets and a good talking too about how long it will take if we carry on as we were - at least 10 years til we could move :-( vs what we need to cut out or cut back on to do it in two years he's come around.

Now to cancel a load of DDs and plot how I can turn a "house on the market date" (HOTM?) into a TTC date ;-)

Best of luck CB! Yes please do keep us posted, there's no point having the thread if we don't hear about the successes of our graduates!

Fingers crossed for a quick BFP!

  • Hello everyone! I've been lurking for a while, but time to stop lurking too, I suppose!

    My TTC Stats:

    My Age/Partners age
    : 27/28 (he will be 29 when we're TTC)

Time together: 7.5 years (married nearly 15 months)

What are you waiting for?!: We agreed we'd wait initially a year after we were married, then changed to 18 months, until we TTC so we could enjoy some "us" time after we were married. Also to sort finances and to finish home improvements.

When will you be TTC?: January 2014 onwards

Any preTTC prep?: Losing weight, making sure both of us are healthy and finishing home improvements on the house. I've not been on hormonal contraceptives for about 4 years so don't need to worry about coming off those, and I chart temps, fluids, etc just so I'm in tune with my body. Will soon start taking folic acid. Recently been to the doctor for a general MOT to make sure am all hunky dorey, rather than TTC for a long time and then discover there's something that I could have sorted beforehand.

I'm taking my mind off TTC by...: Focusing on losing weight and getting the house finished!

Good luck with your TTC journey chelseablue you should definitely keep posting to let us know what we're in for.

AFM, it's been a tough week. My sis let me know she is pregnant. Again. It's early days and I'm happy for her, but I'm devastated for me. I feel like an awful person. Why is it always her turn and never mine? :( And because she's not planning to announce it till after a scan I've got to sit on it for weeks when I really want someone to talk to about it. God I'm such a self involve b!tch!
