Oh WD!
You're not a self involved anything, I can g'tee I'd feel exactly the same! In fact I have felt that, 3 times when my sister has announced a pregnancy. It stings and there is no point trying to deny it.
You need to start by just allowing yourself to fell bitter and frustrated by it all and naturally you'll come to terms with it and you'll get to a point where you can be excited for her and it will be something you can look forward to.
Talk it all out here, that's what we are here for!!Some times you have to hold back to go forward to where you want to be.

wangdoodle - you can talk about it on here to us - this is really the only place I can talk about waiting to TTC because anyone else would look at me like I'm crazy and the one or two people I have told have been all 'well just get on with it'.
just think about how you'll have that lovely house all set up and ready when your little bean pops out because you will have waited - that should be something to smile about.
sending you big hugs :grouphug:
but . . . drumroll . . . our conception vitamins came today!!! :j the OH hasn't seen them yet -and i'm a bit worried what's going to happen when he sees them but fingers crossed ladies!
and great news Ilovelondontown - we're vitamin buddies with the folic acid!! :TDebts @ LBM (May 2013): £25,250.27 | Debt Free: May 2015 :j:j0 -
Thanks girls, yes I will keep posting on here
I know what you mean about feeling jealous, I know a girl who had a baby last year and is now pregnant again!
To a different man, but thats a whole other story
Hopefully it will be my turn soon.
Sorry, selfish rant over xx0 -
Thanks guys for your understanding. You're right, it's great that we have this safe place to talk about it and be nicely crazy together! At least I don't feel like such an utterly bad egg any more
I expect I'll have to get over the bitterness PDQ, I'm going to be spending a lot of time with my sis and the rest of my family so I'm going to have to be happy about it. Or at least fake it till I make it!

Hi ladies x Well had a pre-op appointment today to get my coil removed :-D It feels like it has come round so quick! I know that it wont be removed until at least beginning of Oct but it just feels more real now.
Still trying to work out money as this is the biggest factor for us. We will be debt free in March but it feels like years away .....0 -
Hi ladies!
Good luck chelseablue - I hope you come back with news soon!
wangdoodle - jealousy is completely normal. I have been known to cry in the toilets at work when colleagues have announced pregnancies! This was when I was at my earliest crazy waiting ttc stage. I am proud to say I am less crazy now and much less likely to cry at the sight of someone's bump :j
Both of my sisters have had babies in the last 12 months (one of my sisters managed to have 2 babies in the space of 12 months just on her own!) and so there are lots of babies around. I would love to have a baby at the same time as one of my sisters and i am hoping when I get to my ttc date next year my sister will also ttc with her second. I like the idea of cousins growing up together
With regards to planning to ttc, what resources are you all using? I have decided I should definitely read up some more while I am waiting and I am not sure where to start!Trying to be good and watch the pennies, but guilty of falling off the wagon every so often!

Thanks Miss Bolan your reply made me feel much more normal. I've had a few jealous cries today!
With regard to reading up around TTC, I'm currently working my way through "Taking charge of your fertility" and it's a pretty good read. I got a 2nd hand copy off eBay (very MSE!) and I'm only about half way through but enjoying it so far. Nothing earth shattering or new but it's all stuff that's worth reiterating.0
