  • Latest info -I have gone in person to their office in Birmingham this afternoon and told verbally that for Customers who have existing contracts - 1 or 2 contracts held by individual people will result in them having to accept the new way of cashback. However, people with 3 or more contracts in their name will continue to get cashback within 45 days of receipt of the bill in their offices.
Still not happy with them having breached terms of contract- from 30 days to 45 days for cashback - is there anyone with legal knowledge who can advise us as to how we can force the company to abide by the original terms and conditions re 30 days contract?
  • I have just spoken to Alan at Dialamobile (Mobile Connections). Last week I was told I would be paid 45 days after 25 June. That time has elapsed. Alan just told me that I would receive payment in full at the end of my contract (October) Alan has worked there two weeks and there was no manager/supervisor there to take my call and answer my many questions. He suggested that I write, via recorded delivery, to:
Mr Raza Ghandi, Director of Cashback
    Office 404, 4th Floor,
    Albany House,
    324 - 326 Regent Street,
    London.
    W1B 3HH

I asked Alan if Mr Ghandi would ignore my letter as previous faxes and emails have been ignored. Poor Alan was lost for words and kept apologising.

So, now we have three sets of cashback terms. Has anyone had any cash back since 15 June when I last received some?

I too am with mobile connections, (although through an agent), i have been paid 3 months of cashback (started contract in march 2007), haven't had anything from June onwards, and i have been told i know need to send my bills via recorded delivery.

I sent them last week and royal mails Track and Trace can't confirm if these have been delivered.

Has anyone else had problems sending mail to them that won't track? I get the feeling it may be a ploy for them to avoid paying me for a few months worth of cashback?

At present i have 4 contracts with them... but have not heard anything about special terms for 3 or more contracts?

We have sent all bill to them via recorded delivery. And they have been tracked... but that is still not making them pay up...

My brother has finished with his contract, and sent them the last bill... so will be seeing if they actually pay him the 100 pounds they said would come after the last bill....

I wonder how postal insurance works in this instance?
    Nothing ever lasts forever...
  • A note of caution for all Mobileconnection customers. Mobileconnections was recently merged/acquired by Dialamobile and Ihave checked this with my contacts and it verifies on companies house website. I have information on good authority from an affiliate that they are stopping the affiliate programme. They are also stalling on cashbacks deliberately. This change of business is worrying me as they have applied to be listed on PLUS markets and sent out a press release to this effect, yet they are not listed.

Furthermore, Birmingham Tading standards are watching them with a keen interest. This has all the marks of other cashback retailers of disappearing overnight.
  • <DIV>5 months ago I took out a mobile cash-back deal with Mobile Connections in Birmingham -
  • <DIV>5 months ago I took out a mobile cash-back deal with Mobile Connections in Birmingham. It was an 18 month contract for 2 mobiles from Orange, £80 per month payable monthly to Orange which they then pay back to you. Last statement I noticed they had not paid so rang billings (
  • All of us on here have been affected by this company stoppage of cashback payments.

It would make sense for us all to get together and launch some kind of class action against them using one top law firm.

    Anyone up for this?

Not sure whether you would succeed in any legal recourse. The reason being that as there has been a change in 'ownership' from mobileconnections to dialamobile. Even though there are the same personnel , yes it was only a corporate name change in preparation, they may negate any duty to pay any cashback.

Certainly if you took out a new contract post 25th July, you could use the legal route as they are legally duty bound to pay. What they have done is move from paying each month to set point paypoints.

If the company in its guise as Dialamobile does get actually listed on PLUS market listing, then there is hope that they are not going to disappear suddenly. As yet they have not appeared on the market listing. Rumour has it that they are winding up in October. No doubt they will re-appear in another form again.

Sorry for the gloom, but it personally annoys me that people can do such business and in effect scam people. Keep writing to Birmingham City Council trading standards as they can do something if enough people write in and complain.
