mobile connections problems
I have been with mobile connections for almost a year now, and have never had a problem with their cash back so far.
So i took out a new contract with them a month ago..
Now they seem to be having problems in paying the cash back.....
Have spoken to them a few times, and aparently its a banking error and they are trying to solve it... but has anyone else had the same?

i know quite a few people who bought contract from mobileconnections, infact they intro me and are still their customer and above all we got orange contracts and that too for using 07744 numbers.....
if we manage to terminate the contract will seem the only way out otherwise we will end up with paying heavy bills, without even using most of our inclusive minutes0

I called Mobile connections again yesterday. They have changed the hold music... so now it sounds like they have hung up while you are on hold....
Takes them about 10-13 mins to answer...
Spoke to a guy, ( have spoken to the same guy the last 5 times ive rang)... and told the same story again... problem with the banking system, cashback has been issued, will be in the bank by next week...
said that i have been told the same thing the last 5 times ive called..
he went to the manager to check.. said has double checked, will definatly have the money this week.
Asked to speak to the manager.
Was told the manager wasnt there... i said... didnt you just speak to the manager.... so he said... no he isnt available... hes on the phone... i said i would hold... he said... he will be on the phone for an hour.....so basically... no you cant speak to the manager.
Have emailed... ofcom, and office of fair trading...
They have read my email this morning... so hopefully i will have some responce.
I am glad i have a copy of the contract i signed with mobileconnections... but i would doubt if i am going to get any money back as the cash back.:mad:Nothing ever lasts forever...0

Sent an email to ofcom, and Trading standerds... got told to contact CDS instead... here is the responce.Based on the information you have provided, we recommend that you firstly examine the terms and conditions of your agreement with Mobile Connections, to identify whether there is anything stated about the provision of cash back with your contract. Glad i got the contract in writing
If you have followed the procedure outlined and the trader has failed to provide you with the cash back in accordance with the terms of the agreement, you may be able to claim against them for their breach of contract.
If you have written evidence of this agreement, we recommend that you send a recorded delivery letter to the trader, outlining everything to date, making ‘time of the essence’ for the outstanding cash back to be provided within a set period of time (i.e. 14 working days. It is also worth retaining copies of everything sent for your records.
If the trader’s misrepresentation was verbal, it is worth bearing in mind that it could be difficult to prove that the cash back agreement was an expressed term of the contract. If the trader’s calls are recorded, we recommend that you also request a transcript of the call under the Data Protection Act 1998. There may be a small charge claimed for this service.
The details of your enquiry have been forwarded to the relevant Trading Standards for their information. You may not hear from them directly but please be assured it will be actioned appropriately.
 .
I woudl recomend everyone to get in touch with Trading Standerds, cause if its a lot of people having problems, they will have to deal with it...Nothing ever lasts forever...0

            Hi there
i have been with them over 3 years and they have been really good in the cash backs but now there is somethng going wrong with them..
I spoke to one of their managers and was told that the customers who sent their bills b4 12th of may , thei cash back should be in their a/c by 15th of june and customers after that they should allow us 35 days and the cash back would definately be paid , its just an error in banking system and we have rectified that error..
So hope so that's true and they don't close the business ..
Dunno worry , you are not the only 2 , there are thousands out with them
I know a lot of people as well.
 All the best0
