Any up date on this?
I am just about to contact trading standerds...Nothing ever lasts forever...0 -
I called them today and the guy said the cashback will come when i submit the 6th bill. I was about to send them a letter after talking to the trading standards. Do you guys think I should wait for the 6 months timer or go ahead with the letter. If they cant pay £80 a month, how will they payout £480 at the end of 6 months. Maybe its just another lie.Any suggestions ?0

If your t&c were for earlier payments when you took out the contract and you don't like the new terms, send don't accept it. The courts are very effective, easy and cheap if required.0

Spoke to a Mr Khan, who told me the same thing. But i have a contract which ends in a month, so my last cash back from that is due when i send this months bill. He said send this bill and you will get a cheque for the amount.
I am going to do that, and see how i get on with it. If i do get a cheque, i will wait for the next date on the other one, if not i will have to do something about it.
I know they are not allowed to change terms and conditions, and i said that to the guy i was talking to... but i dont know if we can do anything, well i know we can, but hassle?
Have emailed consumer direct twice in the last 2 days now, with no answer.Nothing ever lasts forever...0 -
Got an answer from consumer direct.... the same as what other people are saying really...
Dear XXXXX
Thank you for your enquiry to Consumer Direct date 30/07/07 in reference to your existing case XXXXXX, which has been updated.
From the information provided and in your case, it would seem that you are still having problems claiming your cash back from your mobile phone contract with Mobile Connections – who now appear to have changed to dailamobile.
If dailamobile have taken responsibility for the contract and your payments are now going directly to them, they may be legally obliged to honour all of the terms and conditions, including those in relation to your cash back.
We would suggest sending dailamobile a recorded delivery letter, outline this and provide any proof you have to substantiate your claim. Make ‘time of the essence’ for the matter to be resolved (e.g. 10/14 working days) and keep copies of everything sent for your records.
If you require any further advice or information about this case, please do not hesitate in contacting Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 quoting your reference number.
Thank you for you enquiryNothing ever lasts forever...0 -

No update as such, but i have been told by a cousin that he has received a letter from mobile connections, saying they are being taken over and that the cash backs are going to change etc.
I haven't seen this letter, but it has gone out to a couple of relatives.
So there IS a letter.
I am due to get my last cash back for a 3 account this month, but i am having trouble getting the bill, have contacted 3, and have been told they will send me a final bill at the end of my contract, as i have asked for the contract to be canceled, they wont send me the monthly bill anymore.
I said that i needed the bill for cash back, was told that if my company wouldn't give me a cash back, they will!!
So at present, i am just waiting for this final bill, which should be the 22nd, to see what they do when i send it off.Nothing ever lasts forever...0 -
thanks for your reply i am still waiting for the letter and considering sending them a letter about the change in terms and conditions0
