I'm afraid (having become interested in Mobilephonesontheweb a couple of months ago and followed them all since) that this organisation appears VERY unlikely to pay anything. See http://www.moneysupermarket.com/community/forums/t/mobile-connections-5728.aspx?PageIndex=220

You may be aware about Cash Back theft where mobile retailers pretend to be favoured by service providers and sign up a number of customers. The driving force is the commission given to agents by service providers to sell their contracts, and after the sale they run off.
A Trader in Birmingham Mobile Connection, Bordesley Green, Birmingham has ceased paying out Cash Back to Clients. Allot of people in their thousand are owed almost £130 - £500.
The Service Providers are taking no responsibility for this, and I do not have the legal backing or expertise to try to find a solution for the worse affected, those who are elderly, financially un sound, and the young.
I hold view that the service providers are equally responsible for Cash Back claims as their agents who made the claims.
I believe this because they are the fuel for the cashback system. This is because they should offer the discounts at the service agreement level, which is safer and fairer for consumers. The decision to give agents a large amount of commission fuels Cash Back related crime and they are aware of this, and it causes detriment to that extent for consumer with regards to hard selling, mis-selling and selling with the intention to fraud.
Does any one else feel the same? Has this happened to you?

i too am worried about this as i have contracts with mobile connections but have not recieved any cashback for four months0
-
if mobileconnections goes bankrupt can we cancel our contracts as i cant afford to pay £80 a month any ideas anyone0
-
You have no right to cancel your contract with the network just because your cashback deal has collapsed.
You could try contacting them and asking for their help as a goodwill gesture.
If your contract is 6 months old, then they usually allow you to downgrade to a cheaper tariff.0 -
Peace be on to you Brother.
Tell the Service Provider what has happened. Request that they honour the agreement made by they authorised Dealer.
Let me now if you are having financial difficulties keeping to this commitment and if you think your credit records may get or be affected.

Trading Standards Notes:
HOT OFF THE PRESS
Mobile Connections and Dial a Mobile Group PLCBirmingham Trading Standards is issuing advice to customers following the closure of a premises belonging to mobile phone company Mobile Connections. The shop in Bordesley Green closed on Thursday 30 August. Since the company was taken over by Dial a Mobile Group Plc, customers have been informed that their cash back will be provided every three months instead of monthly. The company has said that cash backs will not be honoured at the moment and no future date has been provided. Even though customers of Mobile Connections may cancel their contract with Dial a Mobile Group PLC, it will not release them from the separate contract that they have with their airtime provider and they will still be expected to pay the full monthly contract fee. Trading Standards are advising people to write to their airtime company to ask them to release them from their contract, however whether the companies do this will depend on their goodwill. You can download a template of a letter to the airtime provider below. Birmingham Trading Standards are attempting to meet with the airtime service providers and OFCOM, the telecommunications regulator, to try to find a resolution to this problem. For advice, Birmingham residents should contact Birmingham Trading Standards on 0121 303 6031. Customers outside Birmingham should contact Consumer Direct via http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk or Tel: 08454 04 05 06.
Any one need any help please let me now.0 -
