Bank. Natwest
Amount Claimed.£2,249.00
Amount received.£2,249.00
Started process on March 28th, received statements April 20th, sent reply asking for full amount 24th April. Had a reply telling us they are currently investigating our claim and they will respond asap on 11th May. June 23rd received an A4 letter in the post telling us that they don`t agree with the basis of our complaint, however they are prepared to offer £2,249.00 as a good will gesture...back of the net!!!! Sent reply off on that day money in bank 27th June!!
Thankyou Moneysaver0 -
Money refunded By NatWest :T and I've thanked Martin and MSE.:money:
Does anyone think a thank you letter to the bank is in order?
Perhaps this could be one of Martin's moral maze questions.:rotfl:0 -
Claim against Barclays
Amount claimed - £4012.71
Amont won - £4012.71
Stage reached - Court date
Started the proceedings against Barclays. They initially offered £900, I turned it down and issued Court proceedings. They then offered me £1000 (bit odd as it had just cost me £130 to issue proceedings so I was hardly likely to accept £100 more than I had refused earlier!)
A defence was filed, Court date set for 13th July.
Got letter today - settlement in full!
:j0 -
Amount claimed - £22475
Amount won - £2476
Started claim against Abbey in Feb. Followed all letters advised on this site.
No contact with Abbey direct following claim filed at MCL. Prepared court bundle ready to post today and lo and behold letter offering full amount. Cheque in post they say. Will write and confirm acceptance but will send bundle in on 7th July if money not in account.
No account closed or overdraft withdrawn.
To all those who are worried Abbey may not pay out. They certainly don't make it easy and at times I was very concerned but keep going, you'll get the outcome you want and deserve.
Martin, you and your team of supporters are brill. Power to the people.

Finally all claims done & dusted! Thanks MSE and everyone for your help and advice. My advice....just keep on going, they will pay in the end!
HSBC - Claimed £1300, received £1300 - got court date but they paid up 1 week before. Took 5 months!
Nationwide - Claimed £1250, received £1200 - paid up after MCOL raised
MBNA - Claimed £860, received £860 - all paid up after 3 weeks and 3 letters
Skycard - Claimed and received £50 after LBA.
Barclaycard - Claimed £220, accepted £84

A BIG thanks to MSE!! I've just agreed an £851 settlement with Nat West and am in the process of claiming £1,200 from Nationwide B Soc. In addition have saved £100 per month by using the link to Cavendish Online to review our life cover; now have more than x3 the cover on both of mine & husband's lives for less than 1/3rd the premium!!! :A Also becoming quite a succesful card tart having shifted £4K to o% for the next 12 months.
Keep up the brilliant work Martin & Team & thanks again.0 -

Bank :HSBC
Amount claimed: £2404
Amount go back: £1972
Hi
have got my offer letter from HSBC today and am very very pleased. No hassle really-sent my list of charges I have online banking so I just made a list. Took them 10 weeks to respond to this-only got a reply when i pointed out they should reply within 8 weeks. They said they had sent us an offer letter and we had 7 days to respond or "the matter was closed"-this seems to be a delaying tactic they use as we never had any such letter. Phoned the number at the bottom of the letter and taking advice from this board waited on hold for about 20 mins-another tactic to make you go away I think. Next day-letter with offer has arrived. They said it is lower as some of my charges are more than 6 years old-can't be bothered to argue. So am accepting-glad didn't have to get to the court stage.
Best of luck with your claim!0 -
Bank Roya bank of Scotland
Amount claimed 3400
amount accepted 2616
I started the process over 3 months ago, using Martin's template. I received 6 months of bank statements and went through them straight away. My claim received a response within a week, however I did chase it a couple of time. They told me there were 70 thousand claims going through and that they were not looking at anything until it was 8 weeks old, but that my offer letter should be with me within a week ( 10 weeks after claim), however I received the offer the next day, which I have accepted. The deductions were for account maintenances fee. I am now just waiting for my money, which I am told should be in my account in no more than 14 working days.
Whole process so far 14 weeks, but nearing conclusion.0
