  • Got £60 charges from last month after a cheque paid into my account bounced...rang my branch manager, he said QUOTE "No problem, I've just reversed the charges and they will show up in your account in the morning, any more problems just call me direct and I'll sort it for you" UNQUOTE

    How bizarre!!

    He's my new best mate!!!!!!!!!
  • :j On the 30th april sent my first letter, on the 9th of may sent my 2nd letter, and on the 16th of may sent a plead poverty letter, and on the 14th of june recieved a letter back offering me £1354, which i gladly took. So my theory is, wait a few weeks after 2nd letter and send a plead poverty letter, saying blah blah i feel undone by theses charges etc, it definately worked for me.
  • Bank - Natwest

    Amount - £1295
    Offered - £1295

    The story -

Started the process about 3 months ago. Both letters ignored  started MCOL, Natwest defended at the 11th hour:mad:

Phoned Natwest, they were unaware of court proceedings starting, apparently they don't communicate directly with their solicitors

Anyhoo, offer letter received today for full amount, lots of no admittance of liability or doing anything wrong etc etc. They also confirmed they would not close my bank account, which is good!

Thanks to everyone for support and thanks to this site - i'm off to book my hols  :money: :money: :money: :money:

YESTERDAY THEY PAYED MY MONEY 13TH JUNE:beer: :D SO IM OFF TO GRAB A FEW BARGAINS :j

I have followed Martins guide to the letter, It has been a long process even getting as far as having a court date with the Yorkshire bank stating at every letter that they were not going to repay me a penny, So I feel nothing but relief now and although its not for the full amount I am more than pleased.:T

All I need to do now is start helping my Sister who has just recieved all her statements. Many thanks to all MSE'ers especially Martin

    Bank: NatWest
    Amount reclaimed: £1032.38
    Amount they paid: £ 913

Started the process by sending letter in April, no reply. Further letter sent May, no reply. Rang the bank and they said they had 56 days from the receipt of 1st letter to reply (which made it 7/6/07). Received offer in post on 7/6/07 for £913, I returned acceptance form to bank and money credited to my account yesterday. It was that easy.
