  • :j dear martin, just a few lines to let you know i was successfull against the royal bank of scotland .it took 7 months i was claiming £800 and was offered £400 which i accepted. regards.eddie:beer:
  • I've just figured out my password/username again so i'll tell you of my success.
Royal Bank of Scotland offered me settlement without interest so I accepted £1000 over 2 accounts.
Fortunately or unfortunately, I'd got my act together and had been overdrawn free for 2 years.
Most of the charges were caused by them taking charges and often incurred for pennies.
I've never been overdrawn since either.

I've also advised others to claim and to date there has been approx £3000 paid out to them with 1 more to go.
  • Bank: co op
    Amount Reclaimed: £687

    Amount they paid:£4721
The story:they made me over drawn and kept on charging me, it was their problem, i told them to bankrupt me!

then they paid, 3 weeks after claim!
  • Halifax tried to charge me £35 for going 8p overdrawn after eBay automatically charged listing fees. Sent a letter off on Wednesday, got a phone call yesterday saying they'd reversed it. Yippee!

    Bank- Barclays
    Amount claimed- £60
    Amount won- £60

Basically they were charging me £30 per day for an unauthoriesd overdraft of £7! I phoned them upand the poor guy on the end of the phone got an informed earful from myself as well as me threatening to close my account there and then so he put the whole £60 back into my account that day!
  • Bank: northen rock

    Amount they paid:1674.00
    The story:
we saw your report on GMTV and thought thats what happend to us! the northen rock told us we could only have a loan if we took out their insurance, so we did & when we saw your report we thought we would try to get our money back,
but we contacted northen rock & they said they could not find enough proof to justify what we told them so we went to the financial ombudsman (using all the tmplate letters on the site) & we got our money back!
so we just wanted to thank you for letting us know about this:T:T :T

    I love this site!

I got a charge of £60 from Abbey for going £10 overdrawn for 14 days. I remembered the bank charges headline at the front of the site so read through the details about what to do.

I called Abbey and said there was a charge of £60 on my statement, they went on to explain about the reasons I was charged the fees :T and I listened patiently.
Without me even asking they withdrew the whole fee.http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/images/smilies/sport-smiley-001.gif

Thanks MSEhttp://www.moneysavingexpert.com/img/ml-thumb-spin2.gif and thanks Abbey for being reasonablehttp://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/images/smilies/action-smiley-033.gif
