  • Bank: Coop Bank
    Amount Reclaimed: £3,500

    Amount they paid: £3,500
    The story:

After sending off the demand letter I got one letter asking for more time, which made me think they were going to stall. Then to my surprise I got a letter saying that they had paid the full amount into my account :j without admitting liability of course. No further action required and the whole thing only took 2 months.

If there is anyone out there who hasn't claimed - do it. Martin Lewis is my new hero, and he deserves more recognition for such a great service to the public. Thankyou Martin, I probably wouldn't have bothered if it wasn't for your website.:T

    BARCLAYS BANK
    AMOUNT CLAIMED: £3168.64
    AMOUNT PAID: £3168.64

Success at last, we recieved the money in full, into our account over night.
Started the process off on March 12th, with first letter requesting reclaim, offered £2.100.00 which we declined. Then started the court process, the first papers were served on April 19th, which they listed a defence against payment, as expected, then we put in the allocation questionaire. Then it went in front of a Judge, who said if the Bank went any further he would consider a strike out, as the bank was abusing the court process, by lodging a defence. They did not put in a defence at this stage, and were ordered to pay by default, by 4th July, guess what they did not. So applied this week for an inforcement order, papers arrived yesterday, (Wednesday 25th July).
We were all set to fill papers in today, to start the ball rolling for the bailiffs to go in. Checked the Bank account this morning, and the full amount was credited to our account over night. ABsolutely fantastic, cant explain how we feel, best analogy is a child waiting for christmas.....Thanks to all who helped from Martins site and gave us the courage to go on. If you are at the start of the court stage, press on it is worth it, I also used the, small claims and then county court, offices and the staff were always ready and willing to help with any questions we had, so don't think twice about riing them and asking for help and advice.
