    Bank: Nationwide
    Amount Reclaimed: £7020.12
    Amount they paid: £7020.12
    The story:
Followed the steps and letters from this site to the letter. Nationwide took it all the way and had to start proceedings with Moneyclaim. They decided to defend it but a week before the deadline a series of deposits appeared in my account totally the full amount claimed. I expected a letter giving me notice to close my account but about two weeks after the deposits I got a letter stating that the payments did not constitute an admittance of wrong doing on their part and that I would still be subject to charges as per current terms and conditions. So I won and still have my account, bonus.
  • Success
    :- Royal Bank of Scotland
:- Claimed over £1000 in unfair bank charges.
    :- Paid out full amount
Followed your instructions, it took sending all the letters and issuing court proceedings for them to pay out, but pay out they did.

Thank you for your advice everyone. i could not have done it with out this site.
  • Bank: Abbey National
    Amount reclaimed £619.53
    Amount they paid £619.53

After my initial letter claiming over £800 they paid me £270 as a goodwill gesture. I accepted that as partial payment and submitted a small claim in May. My court date is August 14th and today I have a had a letter advising me they are willing to settle out of court for the full amount due - £619.53 including fees.

Thank you very much to everyone on this site who has helped me with this. I will make a charitable donation from the refunded money.

Got all the way to them acknowledging the court letter and saying they would submit a defence, but they offered the full amount pretty soon after so it wouldn't go to court!!

Started trying to reclaim mid March using Martin's procedure. Sent all the letters and received the standard "NO" from the bank so decided to go to court through money claim. Claim was issued 2nd July, bank acknowledged on the 16th July, received letter from the Halifax yesterday(24 th July)have just looked online at our account and guess what? Money paid in full today. Fantastic. Thought it was going to go all the way:eek: but glad we hung in there!!
