We dared to deviate from Martin's advice and decided to point out to the bank the automatic cost to them if we went to the FSA ombudsman (whether we won or lost) blah de blah. They ignored the first letter so we said that would be reported too. Cheque in post within days, full settlement.!!!

    Bank:Nat West
    Claimed £7700
    gained £5900

Started 28 Feb and went through all lthe templates, keeping to these timetables. Had no response until the end when they filed a defence just hours prior to the deadline.
I was amazed to total £7700 and it could have been £9000 with interest. However I chose to acceptthe £ 5900 as I needed the money to stop continuing charges going on and it was far more than I had in FEb. Money in my account by the end of the same week.
Many thanks to this site and advice.

Today I Received A Letter From Egg Offering Me The Full £187.54 - It Doesn't Sound A Lot But At Tesco Says "every Little Helps!" This Claim Has Really Been Relatively Easy And I Would Encourage Anyone Considering Claiming From Egg To Do It Today!!!!!
This Has Now Spurred Me On - I Have A Claim Pending At Natwest For Considerably More Money And Am Prepared To Take It All The Way!

    Building Society: Nationwide
Claimed: less than £500 plus costs
    Reclaimed: all

Followed the instructions laid out in MoneySavingExpert.com

Wrote to them at the end of March 2007. No response. Wrote again in mid April advising them of intention to go to small claims court and received the usual letter explaining costs. Filed a claim at the beginning of May which was quickly acknowledged by the Nationwide. A payment was made into the account on the last day. Total time 2 and a half months.

A big thank you to MoneySavingExpert.com

    Amount claimed £381
    Amount won £386

started the claim on 26 Feb, went through all the letters, filed with mcol and had court date for 14 August.Working through my court bundle this morning and an offer of full settlement pops through the letterbox.I know it isnt a huge amount but its my money and it will help me.There are conditions attached one of them is that i make an appointment for an account review, they will probably offer me a loan knowing them.

I wanted to share it with you because i would never have done it if it wasnt for martin and this site.

So everyone claiming against lloyds tsb dont be put off its a long haul but they pay out in the end.

    Amount claimed £2340
    Amount won £2100

This claim was for my other half.Started the claim in March was given "good will gesture" of £1000 in April.Filed with mcol in May for the rest offered £1100 (65% of claim) on saturday.OH is accepting as quite rightly he does expect to be charged something when he gets overdrawn. And it is £2100 we thought we would never see again.
