Amount claimed: 580 (including 80 court costs)
    Amount paid out: 444
Comments: they objected to paying interest. Fair enough since it was an interest free overdraft, so I never did in the first place . Was going to claim court costs from them too, but in the end decided to take the money and run:beer:

    Bank Abbey
    amount Claimed £4300
    Amount payed out £4120

Started way back in June 06, followed all the letter templates on this site but had to go as far as been given a court date for the 7th August. I received an email from Abbey on Friday (13th July) offering me £4000.(over the past few months i have received numerous ridiculous offers which of course i didnt accept) We eventually agreed yesterday on £4120. It has been a long time coming but got there in the end. Without all the help and advice that is available on this site I would never have done it and would have probrably given up. My message is stick at it as you will get there in the end.

    Carribean here I come!!!
Thanks Martin you are the best

    amount won £3,733

Took a little while followed Martins advice they first offered £750 placed this in my account but wasn't happy with this so had already started court proceedings so continued on with this got the letter last friday offering the above amount including £750, interest and court costs to say I'm over the moon is an understatement.:j
  • MBNA - £615 settled

Received cheque two weeks ago for approximately half of claim - I accepted in partial settlement only and today received cheque for just shy of whole amount claimed and I'm thrilled about that - thanks all - mbna has been very straightforward to deal with.
  • Bank: Lloyds TSB
    Amount Claimed: £845.00
    Amount Paid: £845.00

I originally made 2 separate claims to Lloyds about 2 months ago, one for my individual account (this successful one) and another for £1,800 on our joint account (this has been defended and still ongoing - about to go to my local county court). This claim wasn't even defended and won on default, no reminders or anything were needed, Lloyds paid out! I haven't yet received any correspondence just noticed that an extra £845 had been paid into my account. Thanks Martin - without this site I wouldn't have dared claim. Also I didn't think because I am in DMP and getting lots of hassle from Lloyds that I had a chance but just goes to show....
