    Bank: Barclays Bank
    Amount reclaimed: £1415.00
    Amount recieved: £1054.00

Wrote 2 letters, recieved a letter back saying they were looking into itand could take upto 8 weeks. 3 weeks later recieved standard letter saying they accept no liability but offering £1054.00. I've accepted as its money I could do with at the moment and I also feel partly to blame for managing my account so badly in the first place. My advice would be to go for it you've nothing to lose and loads to gain. good luck!!!:D

    Thank you so much Martin:T

:T Hey guys just thought i'd let you know I got back £3975 from Abbey for my mum on wednesday and they called me. We took it to court, her court date was 9th aug 2007. Anyways only short £526 of the amount she was asking for. So all in all not bad for her.

It's her birthday next week so we will be having fun fun fun.

Just need too write the court and let them know.

To all who are still fighting don't give up your bank will pay out.

    Have a brill weekend people.
  • Abbey National Claimed £ 2,268.00
    Received £ 1,900.00

Got court date through, sent bundle to court and Abbey. Few days later had letter saying if I wanted to enter meaningful settlement discussion to call solicitors. Initially offered £1814.00, I asked for £ 2k, offered £ 1,900.00 which I accepted.

Very happy but doesn't pay off overdraft, fully expecting to be chucked out of Abbey, If not i'm leaving anyway.

Thanks again to everyone who has helped, feel confident enough to sort my brothers claim out now ( also with Abbey ). Don't let them put you off with negative tactics, still with timescales as per this site / CAG and you should win.

    The story:

Thanks for the great help and advice contained on this site! I started this process less than a month ago when I sent off for the statements (they did not chaarge for them) in early June and I sent off my calculated claim on 10 July 2007 then received a response and the above offer on 12 July 2007. I almost fainted with the shock that they had responded so quickly.
    Thank you again,
    KEW.:T :T
