Nat West
Amount Claimed £1900.00
Amount Received £1817.00
Took a long while to get my statements in the beg, months. But sent in claim on the 19th may they received it on the 22nd May had a reply from them on the 24th May, saying it would take them 6 - 7 weeks to respond. Rang them once just to check it was being dealt with, then decided to stick it out till the 6 weeks was up then ring again. But didn't need to ring again, last friday received an offer from them, returned it on Sat by special delivery and it was paid into my account yesterday. That's exactly 7 weeks from them receiving my claim to it being paid into my account.
Couldn't have done it without this site and seeing Martin on the TV in the first place, thankyou everyone.

Hi, first post and I'm H-A-P-P-Y!!!
Bank: Halifax
Amount Claimed: £1014.43
Amount Recieved: £1018.61
Story: I first heard Martin on the Jeremy vine show on Radio 2. So following his advice I started my claim on MY money. I followed the instructions on this site to the letter and used the downloadable letters word for word and also used the claculator to work out the interest owed. I stuck rigidley to to time scales set out by Martin and finally took Halifax to court. They replied through the court that they intended to defend the whole claim which gave me a feeling not to disimiler to that of pre driving test nerves. However I stuck it out and didn't ask for an out of court settlement. Then BINGO!! I recieved all the money in my accounts (I have two) and a letter the same day with an explanation. They state that purerly on a commercial basis Halifax would incure cost that they wouldn't get back even if they won the court case. They go on to say that without any admission of liability they are reimbursing all charges together with approximate interest and also my £80 court fee:rotfl: :T :j  . All together it works out as a £4.18 profit!
So my advice is to follow Martins instructions, be prepared for doubts and delaying tactics but stick to your guns and take whats yours.
I'm off to book the holiday that I didn't think I'd get.:D
Cheers Martin I owe you a beer!!:money:0 -

Will therefore accept and send letter back to them tomorrow.
When claiming, I didn't include this years so am now going to write another letter claiming around £300.00 charges for this year.
Thanks & goodluck to everyone. Your turn will come. They will payup! :beer:0 -
I decided to take the 8 week waiting route and it payed off!!
Was claiming for £3500 and have been offered £3100. Have already posted off the acceptance letter and should hopefully see the money in my account over the next 14 days . Does anyone know if the pay out sooner than 14 days?

Lloyds TSB Bank
Over £1000 will post the full amount when I actually believe it and it's in my bank account.
Started the claim in April. Went through all the usual performance letters to-ing and fro-ing. I wasn't getting anywhere but they were very punctual with their responses as non responsive as they were. I entered my county court claim and got really scared when they said they would defend every penny of the claim, came back to Martin at that point for solace and words of wisdom.
That was about 10 days ago, I got a letter this morning offering me the whole amount plus extra interest to get us up to date plus the court fees I had already paid. SHAME on them for trying to scare me off, SHAME on them for making me pay court fees and then reimbursing them out of their ill gotten gains, and finally SHAME on them for not just lowering their charges and making things right with all their customers without making us resort to this.
Thanks Martin :T :money: :beer:0
