Not quite as easy as lizzielee but good news from halifax. Got as far as MCOL with them defending the claim. Received an offer of about 30% (£296)which I refused (they even sent the cheque!)Received letter today offering full amount £852 inc interest and court charges but not admitting liability. I got a bit twitchy when I saw they were defending but took heart fro other peoples stories and won. Thanks to all and especially martin who started this national revolution. I bet they love his name!!:T
It's taken me since january to get it, thats the hard slog.0 -

Started 2 claims against HSBC in February 2007.
One for £2512 which is now waiting to be heard at Preston County Court.
The other didn't follow the court route - just a letter ( 3 actually ) to HSBC claiming £3022 and hey presto 2 months later they offered me £2866 which I gladly accepted.
Very greatful to this site for all advice and support. Keep claiming you will get your money back. Just hang on in there.0 -

:T Bank: Halifax
Amount Reclaimed: 6072.45
Amount they paid: 6098.00
The story:
All the letters as per this website, started the court proceddings on the moneyclaim website which is great. Got a letter yesterday morning from Halifax stating they intend to defend the claim but because going through the small claims it would be to costly commericaly. BUT they still didn't say they were unfair and still said that I was still in the worng hay hoo i don't care Iv'e won. Very worrying but don't give up
The weird thing is I have got a small one with Barclays and the have defend there claim and Iv'e got to go to court for £800 but I am not giving up it is scary but this website has helped no end
Forgot to say this all started with bank statements at the end of March !!!!

After Months of hard slog I have finally accepted offeres on both of my accounts with the BOS, I have now switched banks too as I have no intention of staying with a bank with such abysmal customer service!!!!!!
Anyhow I am now more or less debt free thanks to this and intend staying that way. Only have the credit card left to clear but I am shopping around for an interest free offer
A bit thanks to Martin for raising awareness and if I see you in the pub I'll buy you a pint. "I'm Just A Demin Boy"
