Bank: Halifax
Amount Reclaimed: 437.50 + interest
Amount they paid: 437.50 + 178.53 (interest + court cost of £80)
The story: Took them a while to send me the statements and I eventually phoned up and they said they hadn't received my letter (yeah right). Got them eventually and then sent off letter 2. They replied within just a few days with the standard letter. Straight away I sent off letter 3 threatening court if they didn't pay up within 2 weeks. Didn't hear anything at all so started proceedings online. They acknowledged with a few days to go so I waited. Was just checking my bank today and saw it had a positive balance. Paid straight in - no letter or anything (yet!)
Yay! :T
Now I just have my boyfriend's Barclays account to do. They've taken about 2 months so far and no sign of statements
Right, think I'll update my sig with the happy news!0 -

Started process back at the begin of March by sending cheque and asking for statement. Did not receive statement for 8 weeks by witch time I had found most of my statements anyway and had sent second letter at end of April. From this got a letter saying they would be in touch with in 4 weeks so i diced to wait the 4 weeks. Then after 4 weeks got another letter saying it would be another 4 weeks. So I sent third letter saying that they had 2 weeks to get it sorted or I would take them to court. I got no reply this letter so I started moneyclaims online. They acknowledged this after first 14 days. Then last friday got standard letter saying that it would cost to much to defend so the money would be in my account in 5 working days. Checked online on Satardday and it was all in. Now just got to do it all again to get the £428 that I have got since I started the first claim.Thank to every one on this site for keeping me going with this, did not think I would get it back.:money:0 -
In the week before I was due in court, my bank wrote offering to refund ALL my charges, PLUS my court costs, PLUS interest.

I have 2 accounts with Halifax and wrote asking for my statements... got a letter back returning my cheque and saying statements were on their way... i recieved them later that week.
Wote using Martins template asking for refund.. got standard letter back rejecting my claim... Wrote again and included interest and said if i got no joy i would go through the courts... Got letters offering me approx half. Letter said if i wanted to discuss the letter and reject payment to ring them.
I rang, the bloke on the other end was really nice, told him i was rejecting it, he asked how much i wanted... i told him all of it (DOH!), he said ok it will be in your account in a few days!! Sorted - approx £500! Thanks Martin.... Can afford to go on holiday now! :T0 -
Bank: Nationwide Building Society
Amount Reclaimed:£1952.28
Amount they paid:£1952.28
The story: Using this Website has been invaluable, watched the video numerous times and followed it step by step. Everything happened as Martin said it would. G ot as far as taking Nationwide to court, but three weeks before final deadline the money was paid straight into our account along with court fees, and NOT asked to leave. Heartfelt thanks!

Barclays Bank
Amount re claimed - £ 730 plus £ 159 interest
Amount repaid - The Courts have ordered Barclays to pay me a total of £1004.03
My story - Barclays first offered me £ 400 in January 07, I refused and asked for £ 750, they refused so I went to online court, they referred it to my local court, after Barclays did not respond to the courts requests for any information, the court ruled in my favour 2 weeks ago. Barclays have still refused to pay so I have filed for the court to execute the warrant, I expect the bayliffs to call at my local branch any day soon, after the court today accepted to execute the warrant. I would like to be there when they turn up.

:j :j LLOYDS TSB
Claimed: £532.45
Paid: £497.00
I totally thrilled to bits. I can honestly say that I NEVER thought I'd get to post on here!
Started the whole thing back at the beginning of April when I sent off for my statements (this took ages).
When I finally got to the stage of writing letter to threaten court, i hadn't heard anything after the 14 days so I decided to phone them up (this was about 5 weeks ago) and the lady advised that it was up to me what I did (ie whether to go to court) but a decision would have to be made by them by 6th July. I couldn't really afford to pay the court costs so decided to hold fire. Went online this morning to check if a bill had been paid and there it was.... the £497.00 in my bank account!:j result! - came home from work this evening and the letter was there waiting for me advising me of this.
This has come at a very welcomed time as I'm skint!
Claimed for my husbands account at the same time (NATWEST) and chased up by email yesterday. They replied saying an offer letter was put together on 9th July so no idea what they will offerbut it was for £2.5k - wonder how long this letter will take to appear on our doorstep?!
Keep fighting all the way. They WILL pay up. Believe me, I never, ever thought i'd be one of the lucky ones.
Good luck guys! x0
