2 out of the five cash back payments now received from e2save all appear to be fine from my point of view.

    hope this helps anyone

Heads up warning for e2save customers.

You may recall a few months back an issue whereby they were refusing cashbacks because they wanted your 4th bill from the month you recevied your phone, not your actual 4th bill. ie. You recevied phone 29 Jan so you need to send April bill. But your networks's first bill will be in Feb so the 4th bill is May. You send the May bill in and your a month too late.

Well, after many court threats, I and many others got the cashbacks and it was understood the e2save computer couldn't deal with purchases at the end of a month.

Well, just check your online account folks as they've now adjusted everything so that it is now correct. ie, if your last cashback was 1 month behind, then your next cashback will be one month ahead (ie, as if you bought in start of new month). That means everything is back as it should be in our minds but you may now be working to their older cashback regime.

Basically, just check and make sure you send the right bills off.

E2save are seriously going down hill in terms of customer service. Used them for many years with no problems, but guess customers were getting too clever for them and actually claiming on time. My phone's up for renewal this month. I'll just buy a PAYG to avoid these coniving jokers.
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.

e2save are a dogs dinner as far a customer service is concerned and their cashback scheme terms and conditions are deliberately set to frustrate and hoodwink their customers. They need a hefty dose of an Office of Fair Trading investigation which would no doubt inform them that they are sailing close to the wind with regards to the complexity and biased content of their terms and conditions.
I've used them in the past and they've been ok. But I wouldn't touch the current offers with a barge pole. They are absolutely and unecessarily complicated, when they need not be so at all.
  • Hello Steve,

The two different types of cashback deals we offer are cashback deals and cash back price match deals.

For the cashback deals you follow e2save’s standard terms and conditions. With the price match deals, the terms and conditions of the cashback are matched to the company the deal was price matched against. Both of the terms and conditions are available on the website and can be viewed fully before a decision is made as to which type of deal the customer would like to go for.

There are two separate cashback addresses for our cashback deals and this is clearly stated within the paperwork received with the handset so this should not cause any confusion at all. Again, the deals are priced match to other company’s deals and so the amount of claims that need to be made during the contract will match with their terms and conditions.

    Kind regards,
    Rebecca

You seem to miss the point - the terms are unfair!

eg. you say we should use recorded delivery to send in the claim, but then say you won't honour any claim lost in the post even if recorded delivery is used.
Where an item goes missing in the post and you haven\'t got our valid recorded delivery signature, then the item will be regarded unclaimed.

sent a recorded delivery to dunstable address last week - for the first time ever it tracked on rm website as having been signed for (prev 6 never signed for but paid out so obviously got there) - got text yesterday saying will let you know in 21 days if claim is in order - so by the time they let me know if claim received last wednesday is ''in order'' it will be to late to resend it if theres a problem - neat

I'm not very keen on the almost rabid attacks on e2save in this thread. Here's looking at you nick!

I have two contracts with e2save and have just mailed off my 8th month bills for both. I've received chequebacks thus far without problems. I do think the company makes life hard for people with its lack of clarity about where to count months from or where to send things to or that damn insurance you have to sign up for and then cancel later. But those frustrations aside, I have had no problems so far and the prices are excellent. All in all, I recommend them for those that are the conscientious non-forgetful type.

People always seem more keen to complain than congratulate. So here's my thanks to e2save for two cheap phones and a load of cheap calls.
  • Quentin, if you do not like the terms and conditions of the price match cashback then do not take the deal out. As I have already stated, these terms and conditions are available to you before the order is made so the decision is yours as to which cashback terms you would like to go for.

Very confused by e2save.......purchased 2 contracts about 2 weeks ago and was told on all the documents to send the cashback claims to Dunstable.

Now today i received two letters regarding my cashback with claim slips which have the address to send them to as Crewe.

So anyone know whats going on? crewe or dunstable???

im sure others will get this letter too if they have purchased contracts recently. The letter makes no mention of a change of address to send claims, but simply shows a different address to send them to!

Apparently you should not be confused. The fact that many people are confused goes over this companies head.

Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.
