MSE News: BT Sport: is its 'free' offer any good?

BT Sport tell me today that to continue that service I will have to pay 2 x £15 activation fees and £15 per month for each box.
A total rip-off. They wont be getting my money.0 -

A bit like the word "Free".
Its not really free (is anything ever?). It's 'inclusive'. Its still a good offer though.0 -

Actually, concerning BT Sport there is no debate. Its free for current BT users like me.
But a cost attached for new users.
But its the value of their other offerings your actually questioning, isn't it.0 -

(I'll actually never do any business with BT again, they charged me £600 for a quarterly telephone bill in the early 1990's for calls to Scotland from England. Rip off doesn't come into it.)0 -

I know they want people to switch but I have no intention of changing from Sky and my current ISP. BT had the chance to retain me as customer by subscribing to BT Sports/ESPN by offering a similar package to Sky. I would have been prepared to pay £15 a month for the service to both boxes, but to treble my current cost and pay 2 x activation fees is absurd. So, no, I will not be becoming a BT customer.0 -
I signed up for BT Sport HD via Sky yesterday, for free.
I have BT Broadband at a discount rate of £10.65 instead of £16, which was shortly to expire. BT have renewed that for a further 12 months, and given me the Sports channels and HD via Sky without charge.
I'm happy with that."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
