Already tried that thanks. Tried re-pairing on-line but it said I had already done it ! I'll give them a call shortly.

I actually tried the help available via live chat for the first time. 10 mins later, settings refreshed, all working again
  • I have been a BT customer for many years as I used to work for them. I have infinity broadband and expected to receive BT sports for free. However when checking my bill i noticed that I was being charged separately for both BT Sport HD channels. I called them and asked for an explanation and they said that the HD channels were not free and after trying to sell me BT Vision ( I am happy with SKY but it is very expensive for the full service) they agreed to amend my contract and remove the HD channels. I can't see any difference between normal and HD anyway.
So if you have been a BT customer for a number of years and thought you were getting BT sport AND BT sport HD for free, check your bill and complain.

Just come to the end of an 18m contract. Now I have to enter into a new contract or pay £6.75 per month for non-HD.

Yes thats right. Its in the T&C's that only customers in contract get the channels included. However, if you renew your contract you can also negotiate a discount on it by selecting 'cancellations' and then being put through to the retentions team. If you don't renew you would have to pay for BT Sport and pay the full price on all your packages. No harm in seeing what they can offer you.
