Well I've just tried watching the football online (I don't have infinity) and it is very poor quality, unwatchable really.
I dug my old old sky+ box out of the loft the other day and signed up. Different addresses as I had sky at my previous house over 5 years ago. I have to wait for a new viewing card which has not arrived yet but I'm glad I went for this option after trying the online app.0 -

Strange. Others have reported its excellent. Maybe its your broadband?0 -
Could be the netbook. I'll try the desktop tomorrow.
I had the same problem last night with a netbook. It's a Dell Mini 10 so a few years old now. The desktop was better (although, that's about 5 years old now!) but there were still occasions where the quality simply wasn't good enough.
My broadband is only about 4Mbps so that could be to blame. Having said that, Netflix is fantastic in HD.
Tonight, I'm going to plug the netbook directly into the hub to see if that improves it..it should to some degree.
My tablet is a cheap 7" thing running ICS so that won't run the app. I've got a WP8 mobile and there is no BT Sport app (yet!).
Not doing very well so far!0 -
I downloaded the App onto my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 last night and couldn't get any of the channels to play. I tried again this morning and all three channels ran perfectly and in very good quality even on my 2mgb broadband connection.
I can only assume that last night the system was overloaded.
I haven't tried it on my iPhone yet."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
I signed up to watch bt sport via my sky box. Can I watch it via the app too or does this cost extra?0

Yes, it's free."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

Now that BT sports has gone live it would appear that there are even more catches. I am already a BT customer with BT infinity so I thought BT sports would be free for me, well no additional cost anyway. However there is still a catch, as a sky customer I registered for BT sports back in June - supposedly free, and well it is unless you have a multiroom system from sky.
BT have informed me that you can only view BT sports on one tv free, so if you have multiroom you will not be able to view on that tv unless you subscribe to them for the channel. As a sky customer I feel aggrieved and misled by BT as if I purchased an additional channel through Sky it would be available on ALL devices not only one, I wouldn't have to pay per TV which is apparently how it works with BT. No where that I can see does BT advertise that you will only get one FREE tv account and as they advertise that BT Sport is also available on phones, tablets etc through their app I think it is very misleading. I agreed to a further 12 month contract with BT for my broad band based on the fact the BT sports would be free, now I can only watch it on one TV , thoughts.....0 -
I would imagine that BT (unlike Sky) are unable to identify that the identity of any second card is actually registered to the same address as the first one, and therefore could be the card of someone at a completely different address. BT are therefore just protecting their own interests.
And when it comes to getting 'one' free can you realistically ask for 'two'? If you buy catfood which is advertised as buy one, get one free, they won't give you two just because you have two cats."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
