Called to chase mine up this week. It's been 6 weeks since I sent it, however it app 3 weeks since they got it.
Advisor told me that after 3 weeks they can email for it to be looked at as it should be processed within 3 weeks, however as usual she did state the line "it may take up to 6 weeks to process".
So let's see what happens now. I'm wondering if the 3 weeks and email business was just to keep me happy, or was it the truth that she was emailing to make the priority greater?0 -
Welshone, that is because they hadn't accounted for holidays isn't it?
I'm not sure whether to ring them today or not?! I'm just getting fed up with it, on Friday it will be 14 weeks since I renewed, surely if I haven't received a letter for further checks, something isn't right? Next renewal, I've decided I'm going to wait next year to renew and do it by post rather than phone!!

I'm not renewing in April again either.
Mines been 11 weeks still not received finalised award. Next year ill wait till July!
I did go through compliance this year and now have an overpayment.
I'm not appealing becuSe I just want it sorted. I spoke to them last week and it looks like its finalised but still waiting a week now for paperwork.
Someone did say to me that if you get reviewed one year and have to go through compliance you will every year! So great have that to look forward to next year!0 -
Hi guys... Just giving u an update, called the Preston compliance team this morning and asked if my checks and renewal had been done...guess what still not done. They have had my info now for 6 weeks, she said the lady who is checking my info is off until weds but still couldn't tell me when it will be worked!im very frustrated as want my renewal done, however she did say as soon as checks are done then renewal is worked straight away....sick of this waiting especially as I believe they owe me money!!0

Ring again Wednesday if you can and this may prompt them to doing it that day or she can at least tell you what date she is working on.

I have been following this thread for a while but I am in the same situation now and am getting no where!!!
I received my renewal in April and renewed over the phone on the 25th April. I received a compliance letter dated the 17th May asking for all my childcare info ( this is my third check in 3 years) only recently done last October as well. I sent all the stuff back recorded delivery on the 30th May and this was signed for a few days later.
To this day I still have not received my original documents back and the number on the letter 03000570851 is just ringing out and no one picks up.
I have called tax credits and they cant help me and just tell me to call the number. Any suggestions what else I can do?0 -

Yeah apparently i should have mentioned this when i sent all my inof in , yet they couldnt take it over the phone when i rung to confirm that they had done it wrong, cause they also missed some payments from the month of july.
Thwe only good thing is that my award has been finialised and just have to carry on having the lower payments for the time being.
My my child care fig is wrong and i dont know wether to ring call centre and get it increased to what it should be on the average0 -
thanks got thru , they weren't very happy and asked where i got the number from said I got it from a mate !! it seems that its been done but its in another other office . I bet they are getting inundated BIG THANKS to taylorlou thank god no overpayment but no inderpayment either but just glad I managed to get a response0

Hi everyone, been reading this post and sounds similar to what I'm going through at the moment...
Renewed my tax credits on 12th April, was told not to contact them before 1st July!!!
Called them and its still processing, I haven't received any letters for more info and they haven't told me this either when I have called.
There is no changes to my claim, earned the same as last year, just don't understand why it's took so long.
I'm now into week 13 with still no answer apart from I'll get a call within 2 weeks but from the sound of things no one is getting this call back. Just getting fed up with waiting now!
I've called them on 1st July, 8th July, should I call them back on 15th? Or wait for this call?
Any help or advice would be greatly received
I am experiecing the same! I have been told 6 weeks ... will be 13 this Friday ... and going through on the phone is even worse ...0
