did they tell you 8 weeks when you renewed? as it seems that they are doing additional checks on child care xx
i renewed ages ago originally then got a provisional decision then had to ring them again when i had my p60 actual figures, which was way over my estimate by about 6000 was then told i will have to wait 6 weeks before phoning again xxx0 -
To further complicate things for me they said that they did not have my employer details which is strange as i submit earnings as an employee every year its on my paper work, also there is no hours!! i do not claim working tax element so hopefully this will not be a problem so weird dont understand how they have my earnings but no hours???0

Lady Jones,
They told me I couldn't call back before 1st July which is just over 8weeks!
I'm going to ask nursery on Monday if they have called them for a check!
When I did my renewal I gave actual figures because I already had my p60, it just really don't make sense!
That's well strange, how can they not have that information?
I claim wtc as well but as I said before there has been no changes to childcare amount or my wage! I only earn around 6500 a year and am a single parent to 2!
I'll call them on Monday and see if they can help me I think, just fed up waiting around! x0 -
I had mine all done few weeks ago, but had re send all my childcare info again with a covering letter from nursery about my average child care costs because they say e have over paid me. When I gave the correct figures, so another long wait. And lot less money as they are taking it back in a 6 mth period0

Welshone,
What they've put you through us a joke, I've read through all the posts!
And the amount they are taking is stupid! Can't believe they can't read things properly! Has your figures changed from last year?
Nothing of mine has changed so that's what I don't understand, as to why it is taking so long!

I know it is very strange, i have my earnings as an employee on all my paper work so its all there, was told it is probably a computer error.
6 weeks wait for an over payment is stressing me out wish i did not have to claim tax credits to be honest xxx0 -
I renewed last week, we earned £10k less than the estimate so hoping for a payment, however I over estimated childcare by about £1200. Hopefully it will all come out in the wash.
On another note, my son leaves nursery in two weeks time. At the moment we have childcare of £85 a week and this is included in the 2013/14 tax credit claim. I'll let them know on 25 July that he's left but will we end up having been overpaid? Is the childcare element worked out for a year and divided in to the 4 weekly payments or will we simply lose the childcare element as soon he leaves and keep everything else?cc £1023.71
loan £829.37
overdraft £25000 -

Figures hadn't change but they have reduced my childcare to 100 per week cause they say that's what they work it out as. But it's not so this is why I've had to send all info in again. With covering letter.0 -
Made my first call to them yesterday to renew, got through on the first call, very polite, very helpful lady on the other end of the line. Can't fault them really! Told six weeks to process, but very likely sooner.0
