Hi I am in exactly the same situation as you. I am 11 weeks on friday since renewal and still no further on. I like you was told someone would ring me in 2 weeks and this time has now passed with no phone call. Everytime I ring I get told its still processing and no one can tell me anything else. The only thing they can tell me that is at the minute there is no request for any other information. We must just be special lol. Would be good to hear how you get on!!!

I'm same renewed 29/4, got provisional awards, extra payments etc, no final awards as yet, no compliance letter or anything either! I haven't even contacted them, with what people are saying on here. Seems to be taking a hell of a lot longer than usual though!

Well I will be sure to let you know how I get on giggle80 .. I tried phoning today but the auto message told me they can't deal with my call at the moment.. And I do know there was industrial disputes going on a few weeks ago.. So guess that all adds to the delays.. So maybe we are special lol.. Hope you hear something soon .:)

I not had anything. No provisional award.. No extra payment.. No letter not a single thing.. Except a high phone bill keep phoning lol.. No one in the office can tell me anything except my claim is being prossessed ... I mean what exactly do they have to do to prossess a claim anyway.. Can't be that hard .... Can it.?? Lol.

Hi new here! Just wondering if its all childcare and self employed being checked? Both my friends have had theirs checked but have large childcare fees, we claim for £20 per week and only started claiming in oct last year due to being on mat leave! Sent form back 4 weeks ago and not heard anything, if your going to get a compliance letter how long does it normally take to arrive after you send your renewal in, just wondering if we're gonna be ok or should expect a letter! Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance ))

Phoned this morning.. Looks like I am being checked.. But I don't need to send anything in ... Confused .. Looks like this will take weeks.. And no doubt they will find a way to make me pay back something... Looks like I will join the over payment club.. Or go to jail . Really worried now..

You wont go to jail.
If you know of any reason why there may be an overpayment then you may have to pay it back. I am expecting an overpayment as mine is going through complaince. I have over estimated my childcare

Just so everyone knows a timescale for checks.

I renewed 29th April
Received provisonal award 4th May
Chased 28th May, told letter issued on 16th May for checks on childcare
30th May chased where letter was and was told they get sent in two week batches and letter will come soon.
11th June letter finally received asking for childcare evidence for 12 months
20th June they received my paperwork and scanned on to system
2nd July Chased compliance team told they are working on cases from 10th June. Mine another week or so away.

Will know of overpayment amount by 24th July.

I am aware overpayments can be paid back 25% of your monthly award.

Are there any posters who work for TC on here?
I just remembered one of the advisers told me that my case is a "mismatch" case and is dealt with by a special team anyway -something to do with matching our claim to someone else on the system incorrectly.....
Would that cause the 6 week delay? We only began claiming Jan this year, renewed by post, was told when I phoned 6 weeks from date of receipt for renewal, when I called was just told processing, haven't been asked for anything else or any other info at this point.
If the mismatch team are renewing it could it take the 6 weeks without there being any further need for info to be sent in i.e. checking info?

Did they tell you that you were being checked? Everytime I have asked that question I have been told that they could not tell me as there was nothing recorded on my claim!!!

I am in the same boat too, I renewed 24/04 and was told it would take up to 8 weeks, rang up at 8 weeks to be told that it was having additional checks but they did not require any more information from me, but was told someone would contact me with in two weeks, well that two weeks is up tomorrow and heard nothing from them, not that I can say I am surprised. Finding it very frustrating as everytime I call up to see if there is an update they can't tell me anything just that they don't need anything else! Not impressed with them at all and just want it all sorted! But nice to know I am not alone!
