  • hi welshone

    What do they mean by re submit the information. they have messed up.

    Does that mean you need to send all the evidence in again to the same compliance officer?

    Yes have to re send the information, to the reference on the letter to have it re looked at.. I thought they scanned the information on but maybe not so im just resending the same info again with a letter from the nursery and also a covering letter from myself. They say it has too be re sent cause the case is completed.

    That's a nightmare, they have no process for errors or complaints. If it was a private company it wouldn't be acceptable.

    I had my compliance check for childcare at the start of the year (thankfully). I called with my renewal info last Monday (or the Monday before?) and I've just had both my final for last year and my award for this year, in the post today! I'm amazed, and even more amazed that my award seems correct (in that its what I estimated my new payments to be)

    ETA just checked and it was 17th June I called, so 10 days for mine -wow

    Yeah and if it was a private company you'd be paying them for the service, however the taxpayers of this country are paying you. And as someone who isn't entitled to claim, the less paid out the better, and the more checks the better

    I totally agree that checks need to be done, but they should done be done correctly and I m a as tax payer myself. Always worked full time.

    I agree, but don't expect the same type of service you get from a private company, when your not paying for the service. I for one don't want my taxes paid to give a gold standard service. More pound shop than Waitrose.

    I am one of those tax payers. No need to be snippy ;) and the small amount I do get goes straight to nursery fees. I assume they then pay tax on their profits, and their staff pay tax then on what they earn. So it's a lovely taxation merry-go-round.

    But I'm sure you'd rather I didn't work at all, claimed everything I possibly could etc.

    An efficient service costs less to administrate in the long run, than the farce the country is dealing with at the moment (see welshone1 posts for how many people must have been involved in getting that particular case resolved).

    But of course, lets cut corners, just to satisfy "the tax payer".

    So nobody should be getting tax credits because you aren't entitled to claim.......

    What a great attitude, if it wasn't for the support low paid workers get through this system, there would be another 2 maybe 3 million unemployed and all claiming full benefits, which would cost more in the long run!

    It's quite bonkers ;) I'm not currently ill so by rights I think they should abolish the NHS :p why should my tax subsidise other people's illnesses? Or at least make it more poundshop than waitrose ;) and no one to be accountable for mistakes...

    <this is of course ridiculous>
