Sure, as far as your contract goes how long have you had your line? how long the BB? Have you any special offers on?:)
    Thanks Drunkstar, (and noted!) :)

OK, I apparently have no contract as far as the Broadband bit goes so can cancel that without incurring any charges. I'm currently paying £22.99 pcm but they have just offered to reduce it to £15.99 for the same service! (Option2) she didn't say if that would mean taking out a contract though so need to check that.

With the calls he said I am on Option 3, it was a special offer I took out for 18mths and ends May 08, roughly 6 months to go @ 18.95pcm = £110 approx in cancellation fees.

  • Update, rang again re the Broadband bit.
Have now offered me Option 1 (I don't download much) with a free Hub (wireless white box?) and a vision box, also free, for a 12 month contract @ 12.99 pm so if I accept this I'll save £10pm and get the vision thing (not that I really understand what thats all about but I'm sure I'll find out!?)
Wonder if its worth asking them if they can reduce the Option3 on the calls a little then I might as well saty with them....?!

Thanks to this post I've just renewed my contract with BT for another 12 months at 19.99 for option 3 and a free BT vision box.

    Thanks!

BT called me yesterday to offer me a 12 month contract at £24.99 for option 3. I told them I would not pay over £19.99 nor would I consider droppin to option 2 to save money.
They said they would get back to me.

  • There isnt a direct one anymore, though you could try the old ones and see if they still work:

If you're struggling (or just find them very irritating like I do!) then simply keep (deliberatley) pressing a wrong number, one that wasn't listed like 7 or 8, it will say something like it didn't recognise your reponse, ask you to try again and then puts you through to an operator!

  • Of course the problem there is if you are ages in the (wrong) queue, then you have to be transfered and are put in (another) long queue it can take twice as long.

  • have just signed up for 12 months on option 3 with new hub and cordless phone, free evening/weekend internet calls, bt vision with 1 month free entertainment pack and setanta sports, all for £19.99 p/m.
Thankyou to everyone who shared their experience, otherwise I would probably have signed up at the £24.99 the salesman offered.
